"The Thai food at this restaurant is delicious. My top pick is the duck curry with tofu instead of duck, which was packed with bamboo, red peppers, pineapples, and more. This dish is my absolute favorite curry soup. If you want sticky rice, you must specifically ask for it as it usually comes with the meat appetizers. The sticky rice is served with a luxurious, creamy peanut butter sauce. Just be cautious when ordering spicy dishes - I requested extra spice and the aftermath wasn't pleasant."

"I had dinner at Kampai while visiting friends in Vestal, and we had an AMAZING omakase experience. I wish I took more photos of our food to do the meal justice, but these few will have to suffice. The head sushi chef was super friendly, attentive to ourtaste requests (which was just to go on a delicious adventure! and dished up beautifully crafted plates. The fish was fresh andhearty (no skimping on cuts here! and the simple vanilla ice cream dessert was made decadent with gold sugar decoration andfruit details. Besides the 12 out of 10 food, Kampai's ambiance is fantastic. While we enjoyed our more intimate dinnerexperience at the sushi bar, there were larger groups enjoying the hibachi tables, something I would like to try on my nextvisit. I also appreciated that the restaurant manager took the time to check in on us, which was very thoughtful, especiallysince it was a busier night. I can understand why Kampai has been in business since 1975 and I look forward to my next visit!"

"The service at this restaurant was awful. The waiter brought out the wrong dish for my mother and instead of apologizing, he insisted that my mother had ordered it incorrectly. His body language was extremely rude when he took the dish back, saying "I swear by God...." Then the owner (I assume) brought out the correct dish for my husband and simply said there is no need for oaths. In addition to the poor food quality, this experience only leads to one conclusion - I will never return to this restaurant."

"This restaurant never fails to impress. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful. I found that the natural drinks in the cooler are quite high in sugar, so be cautious. The BBQ ribs are outstanding, the mac and cheese is delicious, and the desserts are fantastic. The apple cake could use a bit more sugar, but perhaps that's why it's vegan. Overall, the best vegan food I've ever had. The staff is professional and knowledgeable about their products. They often forget that they are serving vegan food because it's so tasty. I gave them four stars only because the parking situation is not great - it's street parking only. But aside from that, it's the best vegan restaurant around."

"I have been living next to Chinatown for 8 years and never tried Lee Wing Wah until a friend recommended it. Now, I consider it the best spot for Chinese-American classics. Every dish is executed perfectly, from the walnut shrimp to the salt and pepper pork, peabody leaves, Fok-kin style fried rice, and fried noodles with beef and beansprouts. Each dish is excellent in its own right."

"My favorite restaurant ever. Every birthday dinner for the past 15 years at least has been at Kampai, and any other occasion I can push to happen there. Wonderful chefs, amazing food, great portions, and you get the whole gamut rice AND noodles, soup AND salad, not or! Oh and THE BEST ginger salad dressing I've had. Love this place, will always be back for more!"

"I'm a big fan of the Happy Teriyaki chain and Teriyaki in general. This is my first less than positive review and I hope this was just my bad experience, but here goes. I ordered the chicken and beef Teriyaki combo for $17.99 and that is where things started to go wrong. The chicken teriyaki was $11.99 and the beef teriyaki was $15.99 so a chicken beef combo should have been like $15.99 or less in my mind. But it was $2 so i moved on. Like I said, I enjoy me some teriyaki. I also wanted to get a bento box originally and for some reason that was not clear to me the bento box was $23.99, but everywhere else in town a bento box has more in it and ranges between $15-21. So not doing well on price, but I was hopeful for the food itself. Now I like to order my sauce on the side because the sauce can mask the great taste of the food beneath. So when the food arrived in about 7 minutes I was excited to try it. When I picked up my food the box was noticeable lighter than most local teriyaki places. I stopped and had to double check that there was food in the bag. There was food in the bag with the normal size container. Now the container was a super nice microwavable container which is unique for teriyaki. I got to my car and opened the box. At this point I'm looking for answers as to what will this over priced light weight weight teriyaki do. First the weight. The container was indeed half empty with two scoopes of rice instead of a bed of rice with the teriyaki mounded on top with the lid pressed against the food. Now the presentation was good. There was a nice char on both the chicken and the beef. However, things quickly took a turn for the worst when i tried the food. First I tried the chicken. The chicken was tender with a noticeable char, but the general flavor was off. The chicken had a distinct won ton flavor to it. Great with a won ton,but not doing it for me with the chicken. Next i tried the beef hopeful that the beef would wow! Unfortunately besides the nice char the beef was bland with an odd won ton flavor and tough as shoe leather. This was particularly sad becuase when prepared properly with velveting and marinade the beef Teriyaki rarely needs sauce. At this point I needed some of the steamed Vegtables which yes somehow tasted like won tons again. What is happening in my mouth. The rice was the saving grace of the meal. Unfortunately this was not the standard Happy Teriyaki experience i have come to enjoy from the several other local Teriyaki joint. This particular teriyaki joint is now firmly at the bottom of the list of local teriyaki places with only one direction to go and hopefully that is up."

"I’ve ordered pick up from here a few times as I work in the area and besides that the portions are pretty small. I’ve never had an issue but most recently I did it online pick up for the brown stew chicken and unfortunately it had an extremely foul odor to it and taste, and I refuse to eat it because I did not wanna get sick and I just ended up throwing it away. I didn’t wanna go back or argue with anyone to return it with that being said I will not come back here anymore. "I’ve been to this place several times, and the food is good. But I realized the last couple of times I went that I was being charged different prices at different times for the exact same order. One day two large orders cost like $25, the next time it was like $35. And, no matter whether I order medium or large, it is the same amount of meat. They’re not honest. Service is not particularly friendly, and they always run out of patties!"

"It seems that, while the kitchen is supposed to close at 9:30 PM on Wednesdays, they chose to shut down early regardless. And on Thursdays, despite the posted 10 PM closing time, the kitchen apparently closes at 9 PM. This inconsistency is incredibly frustrating, especially since my husband gets off work at 9 PM, making it hard to plan our dinners. A reputable business should adhere to their published hours rather than changing them at will. They've likely lost out on at least $100 a week from our family alone, so I can only imagine how much revenue they're missing by allowing staff to arbitrarily determine operating hours."

"This restaurant serves the worst Korean bulgogi I've ever had. While the owner seems kind, the food is simply terrible and not worth the price. I paid $25 for an absurdly small portion of meat. The chicken was old and tasted awful, and they didn't even bother cutting the short ribs into manageable pieces. Save your money and go somewhere with better Korean food. You can easily find a large plate of well-cut, fresh short ribs for the same price elsewhere."

"For $15 a bowl, I was disappointed to see that there was only one type of meat, which seemed to be flank. There were no other options such as meatballs, tendon, or tripe, which I usually enjoy. I had high expectations due to the positive reviews and was really looking forward to some comforting food, especially since my overall food experiences in South Carolina had not been great. Additionally, a few vital condiments for pho, like chili garlic oil, were missing. On a positive note, the service was friendly and efficient, and while the dining area was quite small, I did appreciate the reasonably priced kids' menu options.
