"I was excited when Fuku Sushi opened in Hazlet NJ on Rt 35, and not just because of the provocative name. Chef Mike and Chef Dave offer consistently excellent sushi at a startlingly low price. If you 're an adventurous eater, order the Omikase , which is sort of like the Chef 's Special. Sit at the sushi bar so you can talk with them about your preferences, and you 'll get some of the best sushi combinations you 've ever eaten. Omikase literally means I trust the house , and it 's a great way to experience foods you may not have thought to order yourself. The sushi burritos are an interesting option if you want a quick but filling bite. Basically, it 's a maki (roll) sushi served without being cut into discs. They 're filled with both traditional sushi ingredients as well as chopped veggies, making the burrito connection. Pay particular attention to the daily specials menu, as it always features the freshest ingredients, and is always delicious.
