"Small place, pretty plain inside. Mostly open area with tables and a sushi barCame in and was asked all you can eat or regular menu. Wasn't sure so they gave me both. Looked them over and decided to go with all you can eatThey do the ordering in rounds here, and you can do up to 4 rounds. They don't limit you but have Recommendations ofn3 rolls and 20 nigiri a round. They also have the standard AYCE rules about charging full price for unfinished items and riceOrdered 2 rolls and 8 nigiri to start. The Japanese lasagna baked roll is called crawfish over cheese and was good. Nice take on a classic. Also got the Tex mex roll and it was good but not as spicy as I'd hoped. Nigiri was good, fresh but small. Had all the usual suspects, tuna, salmon, yellowtail etc. I like more fish than rice and was opposite here but very tasty and freshFor round 2 I tried the shrimp tempura and tempura bananas. Both were excellent. You get 2 shrimps with the AYCE but was very light and tasty. Banal was really good and was my dessert. I only made it through 2 rounds. Service was a mixed bag. Server was friendly and very helpful. Answered all my questions and brought food with a smile. Only issue was he spent as much time making out with the hostess as waiting on tables. There was 3 tables while I was there, and we spent a lot of time waiting while they passionately made out, loudly kissing. I've been young and in love so I get it but was weird for sureI'd definitely come back"

"Last night was my second time visiting this restaurant. The first time was great. It was a birthday celebration. Last night was also a birthday celebration for an eight year old. We arrived at 6:30. First we were led to a table that was wet and no one noticed. We were sent given another table that got rained on. Not one staff member came to our aid. Perhaps offer us another table or even bring napkins/towels to wipe the seats. We specifically ordered a pizza right away for the children first way before ordering the adult's entrees. It took quite some time to get the pizza. Our server was not attentive. We had to wave him down to place the rest of our orders. We did not receive our entrees until 8:45. No one came to say sorry for the delay, we're short on staff,or can we get/do anything for you. My potato croquettes were cold, spinach had no taste. Someone from our party didn't receive their vegetable. Another didn't get her spinach. The last time we brought our own cake, it was taken by the staff, sliced up and brought out right after our meal plates were taken away. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the birthday girl's cake to be brought out. This experience has soured me on what I thought was a great establishment. Perhaps my first time there was great because it was the owner's son birthday as well. There were a lot of extras for the children as well as the adults. Never going back."

"Wow, Wow, Wow. For the last 3 months, I have dined here at least 7 times with family and friends all very happy and leaving with full bellies of nice quality foods. Having experienced both the lunch specials along with the rolls and even dinner entrees, you truly can’t go wrong with someplace like Blufish. The lunch special is for sure a standout served Monday Friday with items being around 20 bucks after tax. In my opinion, great deal!! Not only do you get the main, but you also get a spicy tuna roll, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken with soup or salad. Everything is pretty good on the lunch with my only critique that the entree meat is on the smaller side. It is though made up by the quantity of items served with. My only other ask is if we can get the recipe for the dressing?! From all the Japanese restaurants we have tried in the Chicagoland area, their dressing is by far a favorite of ours. We have tried a few of the rolls but they are just okay. Not one has completely stood out to us, but it is possible we just aren’t ordering good ones. Dragons were nice but the mozzarella one was a little off putting as the cheese wasn’t melted. As for the best quality item to get here is always the sashimi lunch dinner. The raw fish always tastes super fresh and for a good price you get so many pieces. I do wish sometimes I knew what I was eating : BluFish is located in strip mall with ample parking and outdoor seating. Generally, services has always been good for the served, but the bartender is a huge standout. My only negative experience would be from the host who was quite off putting on a Saturday afternoon. There are more positive ways to greet guests and she did not do that. The restaurant was also empty at that time and I don’t think having a small quiet puppy in its carrier is an issue… All in all it’s a nice place. Best of the 4 locations I believe that they have. Check them out! Grade : A"

"A disappointing dining experience to say the least. The establishment was completely empty at 5pm. First red flag. Nobody. In the theater district no less on a Thursday night, right before graduation. Ordered the tuna sashimi, Cleveland onion soup and a filet. The tuna wasn't bad, but zero sauce ? no soy, no ponzu. Lots of avocado and fluff. Not bad though. Cleveland onion soup was very tasty. Best item I ordered. For some terrible reason our entrees were served three at a time. We had nine in our party, 9, then after waiting at least 5 minutes, no joke, three more came. Then, again, after waiting five more minutes, the final three came. It took at least 10 minutes from the first entee placed to the final was set. Food was cold by this time. Ridiculous. Our server was completely unfazed serving us this way. More on him later. Then my entree. I ordered my filet medium. When served, by just looking at it, I could tell it was under temp. I sliced it, and it was blue rare. Very cold center. After waiting a couple minutes, we found another server to take my food back for a recook. Everyone was finished eating at this point when my food was returned. Only now it was still rare, was a slightly less cold center. I think it just sat under a heat lamp. I was starving and couldn't wait for a third recook. Ate what I could. The quality of the meat seemed great, unfortunately the chef there clearly could care less about proper temperatures. No manager appearance either...... Our server forgot drink orders, couldn't be found, and auctioned of food at the table. Just couldn't grasp marking a table as to who got what. On the way out, we saw a cook relaxing at the bar, guess he had a rough shift,,,,, it 6:30....... So many choices to dine downtown, this is not one to impress a guest."
