"We have gone first to the original Sushi Kushi on Lake Forest when it was still a small restaurant. It expanded and when Sushi Kushi San3 opened we were there since it's was closer to where we lived. It was awesome for many years. However, the last year has been awful. First they concentrated on take out orders over tables. We waited over 45 minutes for a single sushi order while the staff prepared to go orders and the woman at the front counter disappeared. We waited a few months and went back, only to again have the service just as bad due to togo others and again, the woman that seemed to have been in charge disappeared. This time, the sushi was just okay, not the usual quality. This last time, today, again the service was bad until I got upset. Good was just okay for a usually superb restaurant and the woman this time spent need whole time taking immediate orders and hanging out with her friends table rather than taking care of the restaurant. After almost 30 years we won't be going back."

"Beautiful setting especially the outdoor patio. Wine steward very knowledgeable and helpful. But the quality of the food doesn't match the price. The Asian lobster buns were just ok. The escargot fritters a horrible misstep doughy, leaden, overfried. Steaks were cooked nicely but homemade steak sauce is a hamhanded version of a BBQ sauce that overwhelms the steaks. Accompanying salad was sour and salty, delicate greens drowned in dressing.Olanthe corn side dish tasted only of mushrooms, not of corn. Grilled summer squash were better. Both cost don't mind paying for a dinner for two, but when I do, I expect everything to be top notch. It wasn't here"

"I never really find many sushi boat restaurants anymore (but a similar concept is being spread with kura with their conveyor system), but this one in south san jose is still one if the traditional sushi boat restaurants you'd find in the mid 2000's to mid 2010's! You can choose to sit around the sushi boats or sit at a booth as you wish. Like all other sushi boat restaurants, you grab little plates of sushi and depending on the plate it was served on, that was the price. Prices of sushi on the boats ranged from $4.30 to $10. On a lunch day like this, not too many sushi were on the boats unfortunately... maybe it might be more popular at dinner or weekends. If the sushis on the boat dont appeal too well, there are many more options available through their huge menu! There are teriyaki plates to bento boxes to even a unique burrito sushi roll style dish! I ordered a bento box and the beef tasted pretty good minus the sauce which felt flat. It came with soup and salad and rice as well as a orange and dumpling! The main highlight of the bento box though was the tempura! It was really crispy and well breaded and fried! I loved the sauce it came with as well! $20Service was very minimal and most interaction i had was just the payment as soon as i was done. But the place seemed to be well staffed and got around to anyone needing refills, etc.Overall it was a pretty good experience! Although the bento box kinda felt a little overpriced..."

"I have often seen this restaurant while I went to the station. So I decided to shoot it and dinner here with a friend. I'll share some appetizers with my friend. num tok meat a salad, the grilled bark meat with wobble, chili, lime juice and roasted rice with a hauch of medium spiciest, intentionally they do not go around she went about spicy food speeches, although my palate could treat the degree of spicier, it was spicier as I was expected the lime meat was very juicy grilled pork another great appetizer to share with a party served with tamarindensoße, was boiled perfectly the sauce was a good opportunity to dip the pig to give this extra taste. for my main disc, I had drunken noodles huh I noticed that there was not much protein on my teller, but the noddle was not bad, but as the salat was spicier when I was expected. but overall was not bad. the place is quite small, so it is somehow difficult to get a table. another bad thing at the restaurant is that only cash is, so no debit or credit card accepts."

"Ordered pickup with my family. The food itself is pretty good, but they left out several items that were supposed to be included with our entrees. For example, the website says chicken katsu comes with soup, salad, and white rice, but there was no whiterice to be found (and does lettuce underneath the chicken count as a salad? . For $19, I would probably expect either a ton offood or the sides that were supposed to be included. The chicken was decent, pork buns were okay, sushi/sashimi was good, andthe miso soup was good. However, I am kind of sad about my missing rice."

"I was quite surprised at how busy this place was on a Thursday night around 8pm. It was literally 100 degrees outside and we walked in thinking we could easily cool off inside, but unfortunately the inside was still pretty warm. Their AC was probably working as hard as it could, but with all of the bodies in there, plus the insane heat outside, I don 't think it could keep up. Our server(s? did an amazing job of refilling our water glasses which really helped us out a lot over our course of our meal most definitely. Onto the food: we ordered 4 different rolls, from the regular to the signature maki as well as a beef tataki. We also ordered a cocktail each. The beef tataki was a perfect cold appetizer that we both really enjoyed to start off. I 'm not personally sure if I 've ever had that specifically before anywhere so I can 't really say how authentic or if the quality of it is on par with what it normally should, but we really really liked it! Onto the rolls I 'm kind of indifferent on them. I think they were all decent, but that 's as far as I would go. I 'd say the Dynamite was the best one out of all the ones we ordered. I don 't think I 'd go out of my way to come back to this place based on the taste and quality of the sushi, but if I 'm in the area, I think it 's solid. It 's just not the *best* sushi I 've ever had. I 'd definitely want to try other things such as Udon for example!"

"This is one of the best restaurants my family and I have visited. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's great to watch the chefs cook right in front of you. I absolutely love the food; everything has an amazing flavor. If you're looking for a place to dine with your family or colleagues, this is the perfect spot. The presentation of the dishes is also impressive. I highly recommend this place for celebrating special occasions as well!"

"I visited Shogun 3 for my dad's birthday with a group of 7. Dad was excited for his first hibachi show, and we were happily watching the older chef cook for 2 other tables. While the younger hibachi chef cooked extremely quickly, we were disappointed by the lack of entertainment and interaction no food toss into mouth, no egg juggling, the onion fire lasted only a second, any any of the normal gimmicks. It felt incredibly rushed and was just him cooking on a flat top. One order our Shogun Special order was incomplete. The waitress wrote it down correctly on the slip. After i pointed out we were missing an order, chicken and 3 shrimps were added. After everyone received their meals, I realized the steak was missing for the Shogun Special had to point this out again. Towards the end, my brother's steak was cooked after we had mostly finished eating, causing him to box his food. The experience fell disappointingly short for the $306 (w. Tip) we spent, and we were hoping for more flair and fun in the performance."

"We decided to check out some new local restaurants and settled on this one. We were quite impressed by the diversity of their menu. We ended up ordering two specialty rolls, two regular rolls, and three salads. I tried the 3 in 1 specialty roll, which was flavorful but challenging to eat because of the large pieces of fried crab on top. One of my friends chose a spicy salmon roll topped with a type of tuna, and he rated it a 3 out of 5. My husband ordered a California roll and a salmon avocado roll, which were the smallest I’ve ever seen in a restaurant; however, the salmon was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Personally, I usually prefer a bit more seafood, rice, and seasoning around the edges. As for the salads, they had the largest chunks of iceberg lettuce I’ve ever come across! The portions were quite generous. The dressing was enjoyable but a tad too sweet for my taste; I would have liked a stronger ginger or soy flavor."

"Had ordered dinner from Hama last week. I became violently sick several hours later. Called Hama the next day and was told the American body can't handle the mix of different foods. (I was not looking for a free meal. I promptly called the Nassau County Department of Health who inspected Hama a day or two later. They said Hama completely failed the inspection. I was told that the meat, fish and rice were not stored correctly i.e. not at the correct temperature. I was told the temperature of the Eel was measured 57 degrees. It would have been nice if the owner called me back to apologize. I was not looking for anything else. As an update, I have to get tested for parasites."

"Visiting inner Richmond and on our first evening the hostess from High Treason recommended this restaurant. We were greeted immediately and were offered a table in the middle of the room. But I had seen a different table/room (the kind where the seating is as if you are at a low Japanese table but you can put your legs in a pit. He said it was fine add long as we didn't mind going shoeless. Of course. +1 for the host. Our service was attentive and the method of ordering was with a check list of menu items, since it was izakaya and sushi. +1 for service We ordered a variety. The robata items like yakitori, beef yaki (with onion), chicken soft bone. We agreed that these didn't wow us.The sushi was excellent. Especially the salmon nigiri. It was as fresh as you can get. Melted like butter. We got a few rolls and my favorite was the a roll with jalapeno. We also ordered the Agedashi Tofu, chicken karage, and seaweed salad. The overall price for 4 people and walking away full was great! $200 including tip."

"Our first visit was my son's 13th birthday. This is a cute little place that stays busy. I'd been eyeing it for some time now. Overall the food was good. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The teriyaki dishes initially all came out cold but the manager quickly remade each dish and we enjoyed them as well. Our server was attentive and more than accommodating. She truly made our first experience memorable. My only critique is that it was freezing in the place. I will return."

"A great local Japanese spot with sushi and other Japanese dishes. Has a good amount of seating within the restaurant and they also have takeout available. For food- their yellowtail appetizer special is always delicious. I also recommend their fried oysters which comes with sauce on the side to dip. Salad and miso soup comes with most dishes. For food, their sushi is always great and I really love their teriyaki dishes, one of the best I've had. The teriyaki comes on a hot dish tray and includes potatoes, broccoli and carrots along with white rice on the side. The potatoes are so good because they absorb all the teriyaki sauce. Would recommend stopping by if you're in the area!"

"Peter and wife April! Plus Baylin (I know spelling wrong) The only other host with the most there! we have been coming here for over six years. My son who is just turning 10 always request for Moontown. The rules! The soups! Not to mention the generosity of free spritzer drinks, and the fact that it feels like I'm walking into family members house when I show up or even call. I've never been sick here !!!!! and I absolutely love their food. ??????"
