"This was my second visit to Rouge Tomate in the space of a few weeks. This time, I made sure to get the name of our terrific server: Rafael. He is affable and very knowledgeable about food and wine. We started with a delicious complimentary salad of heirloom tomatoes, Thai chilis, and ricotta. My friend had the squid ink spaccatelli, which she loved, and I had roasted squab chanterelle mushroom spigarello cherry, which was amazingly tasty. My only quibble was, half a squab? Really? This was literally 4 bites. I can't really eat that much food at one time, so it was fine for me, but I would say, if you are starving don't get the squab unless you also have a starter, and or dessert. This time we ordered desserts, a Pavlova with berries for me, and I forget what my friend had. The restaurant also provided some fantastic sorbets, including passionfruit, which is a big favorite of mine. I would be very happy to make a return visit."
