"I’ve got my third update and the food just keeps getting better! The chicken and waffles, fried okra, and chicken-fried chicken are all fantastic.
For my second update, I’m excited to share that it’s under new management! The original menu is back—thank you, Restaurant Gods! I encourage everyone to come by and support this fantastic local spot. The food is still amazing, and I found out the original cooks are still there!
However, in my latest update, I have to say things have taken a turn for the worse. They no longer have fried okra or bacon jam? We were disappointed to find that the chicken-fried chicken had been removed from the menu as well, and the place was empty. It's such a letdown, as this was our favorite local restaurant.
We tried the Sunday brunch as a last-ditch effort, but please avoid Crackers at all costs! The brunch was terrible compared to what it used to be.
That said, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area, with incredible food. I highly recommend it—especially the chicken-fried steak special, which was my go-to. It really was the best spot around."
