"I used to love Poseidon for the simple fact that it 's one of THE ONLY places open late enough in New Orleans to satisfy an after hours hunger attack or late night craving with something more substantial than fried chicken or gas station finger foods; but rather, halfway decent sushi and even chargrilled oysters if your in the mood for something decadent. But last night I was really rubbed the wrong way by my pick up order experience. I was excited to find that after 1030pmthe poke i was craving was actually attainable, with a menu description of seaweed salad, mango, eel, salmon, tuna and asparagus ????. I arrived early and decided to have a look at the menu they had at the register while waiting. Afterreading the description I added a green salad to my order: spring mix, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, ranch or ginger dressing i asked if I could have one of each dressings which they quietly charged me extra for... When i got my order idrove straight home (about 15 mins) eager to sit down and satiate my grumbling belly, only to find that the greens salad was actually a handful of pale iceberg lettuce and nothing more, apart from the single ginger dressing (the upchargedranch was forgotten). Very upsetting, considering i was looking forward to prefacing my meal with some fresh greens and veggies ????On to the poke bowl, it was slightly small but the fish was fresh enough. The mango however was some kindof dehydrated, or previously frozen mango chunks that had been thawed/rehydrated into a flavorless sponge like substance. When i called to inform the manager about my disappointing salad he told me it 's because they ran out of tomato and 'could i just eat it that way? ' How about before handing someone their order u disclose that fact rather than sending them home with something that is not even close to what was advertised?? I explained i was already across town and tired, and could they just offer me a credit for another time but he told me I must keep the sal"

"Tonight was our first and last time visiting Asian Noodle Bar.I ordered a miso soup and the Tom Ka Noodle. The entree was under the specials list instead of the soup section. I’m very familiar with tom ka (sometimes spelled tom kha gai), and it’s a standard at all Thai restaurants and listed under their soup sections on the menu. The description of the dish read “Vermicelli noodle, sliced mushrooms and onions in coconut broth, flavored with chili lemongrass, lime juice and cilantro.” I figured this was an interesting fusion dish using the flavors of tom kha gai (soup) in a noodle dish (like pad Thai). Instead the entree was simply the soup, which I didn’t understand because it wasn’t listed under the soup section and didn’t have soup in the description. The name, in my mind, made me think it was a noodle dish. When I pointed out my confusion, the server was brusque and chastised me for ostensibly not knowing what tom kha is, even though I do. The entree itself was lackluster and unimaginative; it was definitely not “special”. If there was fast food version of tom kha gai, this dish is what I imagine it would taste like. The miso came out at the same time as the entrees; I think the server forgot we had ordered it. It was very watery and had a cilantro taste; it was unlike any miso I’ve had before, and not in a good way. The service overall was very slow, which was odd since there was only one other patron dining there that wasn’t a family member who had camped out. The server clearly didn’t want to be there and never once cracked a smile or tried to be polite.Skip Asian Noodle Bar if you have other options. It’s not worth the time, money, or calories. We won’t go back."

"When the manager came over to ask about our experience—surprisingly, as our waiter clearly hadn't briefed him—we shared our concerns. He collected our drinks and, while doing so, rudely questioned us about what we wanted instead, claiming that even the new offerings would taste bad since they "come from the same place." The issue wasn’t just the taste of the drinks but that the cups tasted like dirty dish soap. Even after we suggested using paper cups, they continued to serve us in the same dirty glasses. Next came the food order, and again we were rushed. The waiter asked if anyone wanted appetizers; only my friend and I were interested. I hesitated because I was still deciding, but he impatiently said he’d give us more time since nobody seemed ready. I wanted fried sushi, but there were only three options on the menu, and I couldn’t remember the exact name of the one I had liked before. When I finally made a choice that sounded similar, he interrupted me, saying, “That’s raw, just get this one!” and picked a dish for me, which felt incredibly rude. When my cousin discovered a kid's meal option for children under 12, the waiter informed us that it wasn't accepted, prompting my cousin to question why it was on the menu. Eventually, the manager came over again and agreed to honor it this time. They really need to update their menu to prevent misunderstandings like this. Then the chef arrived, and normally, these chefs try to be funny and engaging. However, after witnessing the treatment we received, it was clear our waiter had shared unflattering remarks about us. While the chef attempted to entertain us, my mom noticed a burning smell, which I pointed out was coming from a burnt spot on the grill. The chef dismissed my explanation, insisting the smell was just from the fire. Overall, I was deeply disappointed with the entire experience and have no desire to return. I think the waiter's name was Blake. It’s concerning that it felt like we were treated poorly because of our race; we observed a distinct difference in the waiter's tone with a Caucasian family that arrived after us. My mom enjoys the food enough to order takeout from here regularly, but after this incident, I won't be spending my money there again. Spending $94 for such a disappointing experience is outrageous! I even brought most of my meal home because I didn't enjoy it. It’s sad how people can treat others based on their race, and I hope this message reaches the right people. Goodbye!"
