"I've been coming here for years and always enjoyed their food. The street tacos are my absolute favorite. During a recent take-out order, I ordered just the street tacos and the amount came to $15 and change. I added a two dollar tip to the total. The next day I was notified by my credit card company that this tip was changed to $20! When I called the restaurant I was told by the manager on duty she was too busy right now to deal with this and if I wanted to come in the next day or the day after that she would look at it. Very very very poor response on her part, and makes me rethink whether or not they know what their people are doing. I still recommend the street tacos however don't ever pay with your credit card if you wanna tip. Unfortunately I guess you just have to be careful. Always pay cash!"

"This was my first time here at Moreno's. My friends arrived before I did so I didn't have to wait to be seated. I came at lunch time and it's pretty good sized outside patio.The parking is okay, I'm glad to have found one soon as I pulled into the parking lot, because it gets filled up quick. The servers were attentive but did take a just a little bit to come back around to our table because we did get there about lunch time and so it was busy, but nonetheless, the servers we had were friendly and knew their menu well.I had ordered the dry burrito with cilantro, onions, beans, rice inside of it along with the my choice of meat: carne asada. That burrito was massive, the size of my forearm. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of it because I was really hungry (my bad). But no worries, I'll be back and try their tostada bowl. My friends had ordered beef and chicken taquitos, but had said their tostada bowl was yummy and massive. So I will be back again."

"Delicious! I had the fish with garlic sauce, and it was lovely and very flavorful. The refried beans served in a cup were sweet and incredibly tasty, even the cup itself! We dined on the front terrace, which had comfortable seating in a nice shaded area. It was surprisingly quiet, despite the cars just a few feet behind us. We will definitely return during our trips to the area."

"We chose this restaurant because we heard it accepted Long Beach Local Cash, but after we finished our meal, the server informed us they didn't accept it. However, when we contacted the city, they confirmed that the restaurant is indeed part of the program. It was very disappointing to feel like we were overcharged for what we ate. I also noticed a couple seated next to us who complained about their bill as well. I cannot recommend this place."

"I love the food here. Some of the best. But they close super early. And I respect that due to the area. But I went 40 minutes before closing with wife and kids and server said only to go. Sadly we drove from far to be pushed away even tho is was really early on a Friday with sunlight still up. Please change your hours. Im sure it affects your business. I know it's family run but consider hiring someone to stay open a little later on weekends"

"First time and won’t be returning. The service was fast, however it’s overpriced and they forgot pieces of our order (including the chips). Got takeout. Taquitos with shredded spicy meat so dry it’s literally turning to dust, no flavor. Quesadilla is plain just a tortilla and cheese. Shredded chicken in my taco came very bland and cold as if straight out of a can, and the burrito again, only has meat in it. I expected at least beans or cheese. It was so tough we had to cut it on a table with a steak knife. Rice had no flavor. The thing with the most ingredients, surprisingly so, was the refrained beans, which came topped with green onions thankfully. Genuinely disappointed. Taco Bell has more flavor and ingredients and I would have saved my money. (We spent nearly $15 per person here) "

"If I could rate this zero stars I would. This is by far the most disgusting Mexican food I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’m genuinely shocked to see so many good reviews. My food did not live up to any of them. The Chile relleno was garbage. It was so soggy there was a pool of liquid at the bottom and upon cutting it the eggs squeezed out even more liquid. It was extremely bland except for the sour marinara sauce on top. The salad dressing tasted like what I can only imagine lotion tasting like. Rice was the only thing edible but was still bland. The lengua burrito was foul. Soaked in grease the moment you touched the foil it was wrapped in, tortilla was discolored because of the grease. The meat was extremely salty and dry."

"One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I came to visit my sister who I haven’t seen in eight years. We met at Don Chuy‘s. As soon as we walked in the door they saw my sister with her service dog and immediately told her that she cannot bring the dog in, when my sister told them that the dog was a service dog, they basically said she was lying and demanded we show them paperwork. Even though my sister does have paperwork she refuses to show them because this is against Her rights. And she knows the law. Unfortunately, the owners of this restaurant do not know the law. I suggest they read up on it. You cannot ask for paperwork! You are legally only allowed to ask two questions. If the dog is a service dog and what service they perform, that is it. You can do a simple Google search to find the information. Then the owner came over and told us he would allow it “ this time”. I wish we would’ve just left because this whole situation was embarrassing and uncomfortable and of course the service was horrible. They took forever to come over and even bring us water then another 20 minutes for them to come over and take our order and after they brought the food they never checked on us. Then after we were done eating, another 20 minutes waiting for them to bring the check. The whole time we were there the owner sat at a table with possibly family or friends, I’m not sure which, but they stared at us and talked about us the entire time. One of the people at the table kept pointing over at us, ruined my whole time with my sister. The food was not good at all, some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had and I wish we would have left and not eaten here at all. I’ve been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and I tip 30%. The server really lost out on that one. All he had to do was just be the slightest bit kind. This was a clear case of discrimination. Definitely won’t be back, obviously, and thinking about contacting a lawyer. You better go and read the law before you get sued and lose your restaurant."

"I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. This was my second visit and once again it exceeded my expectations! The queso dip we ordered was a definite must-have, it was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I chose the chicken chimichanga which came with beans, Mexican rice, lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream. It was incredible and the portion size was huge. I also tried the margarita flight which was delicious. My 4 year old ordered the kids cheeseburger meal with freshly sliced avocado as a side, and she devoured every bite. Highly recommend this place for delicious food and great service!"

"The food here is not authenticate, Service was ok. However their Green Salsa was either spoiled or old. Also their water seems to be tap water that is not properly filtered. Their red sauce seems to be canned mole. I will never come to this place again. If your looking for authenticate Mexican food this is not the place. "Was craving for a burrito. Saw this place nearby my chiropractor and decided to get one here. I ordered the California Burrito. The description said it would have guacamole but I barely had any in it lol. Overall the taste is ok but for $12 there really wasn't much in the burrito. Mostly tortilla and fries. Lack of carne asada and almost complete absence of guacamole. If you're lazy and you live Nearby then go for it here. If not there's other places that give more bang for your buck and tastes much better. Place was pretty empty and now I know why."

"Poor, poor business practice to charge a 5% payment processing charge, not disclose on the menu and then state it can only be removed if I pay cash. That means even those folks paying cash would be charged this fee if they didn't say something. Restaurants only pay 1.5-3.5% in credit card fees, so 5% still feels wrong. Also, while minimally discrepant, the prices on the bill and menu are off. To the owners, you're really doing a disservice to your servers by not posting or incorporating into your menu prices, as many people will likely recoup the money in some fashion. Such a shame because your staff is lovely, but you're taking money from their pockets."
