"I went to Joey to meet a friend for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by many things, from the complementary champagne upon entry to the food. I recommend reservations as it made the procession to our table a far more pleasing experience. We were immediately greeted and seated after our names were confirmed. The menus are the perfect length; they have an array of appetizers, meats, and proteins to select from to ensure you find the perfect pairing. The cocktails, while more expensive, are absolutely delicious- for those who don't imbibe, a mocktail is also an incredible option. I had the Joey Martini(dirty) with three stuffed olives and Grey Goose vodka; WOW! It is the best martini I've had in Seattle- granted, it cost nearly $30. The plates are gorgeously arranged. I ordered the flank steak with seared salmon, while my friend had the tikka masala. The flavors are absolutely on-point and exceeded all expectations. The seared salmon had a sugary crisp on top, which paired well with the medium-rare beef, which was also perfectly cooked. We ended up without a desert, but I look forward to trying it in the future. If I had to make a gripe about anything, it would be that the music is too loud and the prices are too high for the seven-ounce flank steak, but given a confluence of factors, I understand. Joey may not provide anything new to American dining, but they do a great job giving a creative flair to classic plates."
