"I arrived with a reservation for my birthday, but the hostess informed me that I would need to wait 25 minutes to be seated on the lower level. While waiting, I went down to the bar and noticed four small tables were available. I politely asked the hostess why I had to wait, and she explained that all the tables were reserved by the owner. It was quite frustrating to begin my birthday dinner with such difficulty in securing a table."

"This was our second time here. The first time was a great experience, but unfortunately I left disappointed this time. The tacos were boring, expensive, with mostly lettuce and not much meat. The meat was not very flavorful either. Two tacos were almost $9.00! The Jalapa fries were good but seemed better the first time with more sauce. A lemonade was $3.50 which seemed pricey as well. Service was slow and our waitress was hard to understand. Worse for me was the price discrepancies.. the money said one thing but the recipes had a higher price. Fortunately our waitress fixed it but seemed odd that happened to begin with. I was not impressed with the Cuban sandwich either. I don’t know what happened from our first time to our second, but don’t think there will be a third ?"

"Today’s food review is for the pizza. I was told that it had just came out. However the pizza was cold, soggy and greasy. I’ve been told while pies here are good. However if you’re in need of a slice. Go to coiner pizza instead or Sarah’s pizza. If the employee knew that it had not recently came out he should have heated it. I mean it was gross.i order here frequently and the worst I can’t stand is an employee who lies to make a sale. Owner take notice. This is how customers are lost. I should have gone back for a refund."

"My friends and I had the wonderful experience of attending Drag Brunch here, and it was absolutely fantastic. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and guided through a charmingly decorated bar to the atrium/stage area. The drinks were both strong and delicious; I had the 12 oz margarita, which was quite a challenge! For the adventurous, they also offer a 34 oz Grande margarita served in a carafe. The food was equally delightful and satisfying—I enjoyed the chips with guacamole and corn salsa, as well as the hangover quesadillas. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the drag show. Drag King Sweaty Eddie and Drag Queens Catrina Lovelace and Hibiscus delivered an outstanding performance. Sending lots of love to the entire Frescos Grand Cantina team. We will definitely return with more friends!"

"What a nice surprise!! A group of us ate here before a Strathmore event. No one drank because we all had to drive, but the bar menu is phenomenal and the idea of tasting sizes of rum is brilliant; we'll definitely try that one night because we will be going back here. The food menu read fine, but in fact the dishes arrived with more creativity and flavor than we had anticipated, and nicely presented as well. The restaurant is very large, so there were large booths for families and groups, plus the bar, plus outdoor tables, plus traditional tables. Prices were very reasonable; parking in the garage across the street was easy and free. Looking forward to a return visit and happy to have this nearby."

"The food is premade so you can’t make any changes to it whatsoever. I wanted extra cheese in the chile relleno, couldn’t do it. Just the fish in the ceviche and no shrimp since I’m allergic, couldn’t do it. Everything is already made and they just heat it up. Ridiculous if you ask me. Do not say you’re authentic when all your food is not made to order but made days before. Embarrassing date experience"

"I chose this restaurant because my wife enjoys going out to eat at Spanish/ Latin locations. Saw this on the list of places for Restaurant Week, and thought this would be perfect. From the moment we walked in, we were addressed immediately, and taken to our seats. Once there our server, I believe Jasmine was her name, greeted us. She was very knowledgeable and helpful when we were trying to decide what to order. Our appetizers were really good, the Ceviche was clean and fresh and the empanadas were crisp and the flavor was great. We also ordered some margaritas, which were also great. Their were various flavors, but you can’t go wrong with the classic. For our entree, I ordered the crispy pork shank, and it was fall off the bone tender with great seasoning. My wife ordered the flank steak with the chimmicuri sauce. We did have dessert, and they were both great. I’m not a sweets person at all, but those sweet potato donuts were fantastic. Overall we had a great experience, and are definitely looking forward to coming back."

"When we arrived and I gave my name, the hostess did not tell me that the rest of my party was already there and let us to a table away from them. Had they not been looking for us, we would have missed them. The food was good and plentiful and as usual, we brought home doggy bags. This is always a great outing and it is safe for my celiac daughter to eat without worry. This is one of my favourite restaurants and I always have a great meal. I love the caribbean chicken-that is often my goto meal. And the guacamole three ways...mwah. So delicious. Our server brought extra chips without us having to ask. All in all a great evening out"

"Paladar Latin Kitchen Rum Bar just launched its third location in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The new addition is at Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg, MD, and features Executive Chef. Gregory Webb. I was present at the opening event benefiting the wonderful charitable organization, Manna Food Center . We also covered the Tysons Corner launch. The restaurant has a great corner location. The outside bar area was designed well. There are also bar tables, and on the other side of the building, a patio seating area with a great view of a nature preserve. I tried several different mojitos, with the Peach Basil Mojito being my favorite and the Mango Cilantro my second favorite. They actually incorrectly made my Strawberry Mojito (minimal alcohol and a lot of fizz but this was the night before their actual opening and it was very busy), but when the Bar Manager remade it for me, it was good too. With house-made chips (made from various vegetables) we were served 3 different guacamo"

"my wife and I received both foods that were healthy and delicious. I am gluten-free, the waiter knew what I could order and could not order and why. the decor was casual, the noise level was quite high, but not like some other restaurants where you can not hear talking to each other. I would not call this a cheap restaurant, but the price was somewhat less than most other good manhattan restaurants. I would go back and try their other standings."

"Great customer service, every waiter is attentive to tables that aren’t theirs, nobody has to call anybody for ketchup, the same person you ask stops what they are doing and runs to get you what you asked for. Very good use of teamwork which is hard to find even at four to five star restaurants. Food quality was good, the time that it took was acceptable. The vibes at the restaurant were extremely good."

"It is highly unlikely that the positive reviews for this restaurant are genuine. Our dining experience here was by far the worst I can remember. The waitress got three out of four meals wrong and then argued with us about our order. The food was mediocre at best. I was served a cold cheese enchilada (see picture) with unmelted cheese. The manager even tried to convince me that they intentionally serve their enchiladas with a cold filling, which is absurd. To top it off, we were charged for fountain drinks with our kids' meals, despite them being advertised as free. After complaining, the manager removed the cost of my meal and another incorrect meal. However, the shocker came when he tipped the waitress forty percent before giving us our bills. Upon closer inspection, it was apparent that he had added a $20 tip to each of our $50 checks, even though we had split the bill evenly. My friend's receipt also showed the same percentage tip added to each item."

"I ordered a chicken plate with rice and plantains and a press Cuban. They had me pay for it before the Cuban was made. Then gave me Cuban toast said they didn't have the stuff to make a Cuban sandwich and just stared at me when I asked how they were going to fix it. I told them again it's not what I ordered I ordered a Cuban sandwich again they just stared at me. By the way the chicken is very dry the yellow rice has no flavor the plantains are very good. Good luck everyone if you don't speak Spanish."

"Boca’s Grill caters to a refined palate but fails to deliver. The food is mediocre, the location is small and poorly decorated, and the food is overpriced for what it entails. However, their arepas are pretty good. There is also no children’s menu so parent’s of picky eaters, beware. Despite the wonderful and friendly service, the only thing of true value are their famous milkshakes. Everything else is just mediocre food proced several dollar signs than what it should be in a location that does not lend to the upscale service Boca’s strives to provide. TL;DR: Come for the milkshakes. Don’t stay for the main courses, but try an arepa"

"In all honesty i haven't been back here in years ever since it was first sold be the original owners. My aunt and mom came in with these new owners and said the food was good, so when my mom asked me on a date (mommy daughter date) we agreed to come here and let me say I happy we did. We started with the skirt steak quesadilla, omg this was amazing and so flavorful, no extra salt or pepper needed. Mom got the oxtail meal and as you can see it came with a lot of food. I got the 3 cluster snow crab I. Scampi sauce with 2 sides. When I tell you this place did not disappoint it really didn't. It was worth coming back after not coming for so long. The place was as I remembered it, just real cool diner vibe, music wasn't to loud that you could still have a convo with your person. I can proudly say I will be coming back. Edit: my only negative is that the sides aren't on the menu, so you have no idea what they are until you ask your wait staff"
