"Service was so slow. We waited 45 minutes for food and when it came it was lukewarm had clearly been sitting out for a while. Our waitress was pretty lousy. The chicken and lamb kabob was very tasty and priced fairly, and the gyros was tasty but fries were bland and cold anyway. The tzatziki appetizer was tasty too but way overpriced since when is dip a $14 menu item?? Sort of alright dinner but won't visit again."

"The Greek salad was fresh and tasted great. Ot would be a 5. But $15 for the large and the actual size that they give you was a disappointment, especially without any added protein it felt a bit pricey for very little. Seems like great quality though. I probably wouldn 't order again."

"Although cafe venetia is one of the rare places open past 9pm in the Bay Area, there is a significant issue with the service. I have rarely seen such slow and oblivious staff. It is as if they are floating in the stars and not present at the cafe. The drinks are slightly expensive, and I would completely understand charging a premium if the quality of the ingredients used was good. The cream inside the chocolate mousse or pudding uses a cream with a vegetable oil base which makes the whole chocolate base undrinkable. At least use high quality dairy! If you are charging a premium and taking pride into the fact that this is an Italian European cafe, I expect a better quality of products to be used."

"If I could give this place 5+ I would. Me and my wife were there twice in the past 4 days. The place is clean and inviting. The staff was extremely accommodating and polite. The waiter we had was very nice and on point with his service. "I previously went to the Kapnos on St for brunch which was great. Unfortunately, I will not return to the one in Bethesda. The service was terrible. It took several requests for our drinks to arrive; they came after almost all of our food. At the same time, the waiter continued to try to take our plates away when we were not done (and the restaurant wasn't busy to try to turn over the table). The waiter also did not properly explain the drink specials, and we received a bill much larger than intended given the poor explanation. Finally, I got super sick from the food for several hours after brunch. Big disappointment for an expensive meal."

"Came here with a party of 8 on a Saturday evening for the $1 oysters, and we were so glad we made reservations—it was busy! From the moment we walked in, the place was absolutely breathtaking. I instantly fell in love with the decor—teal is my favorite color, so I was a total sucker for the vibe! I ordered the Passionfruit Martini and was hooked after the first sip. The service was amazing—every staff member we interacted with was incredibly sweet and friendly. Street parking is available nearby, which was a plus.
