"Let me start by saying that I tried to locate the contact information for the owner and/or corporate office to provide direct feedback about this particular experience. I am also a Point Loma resident for over 20 years. I enjoy supporting local businesses as much as I can, especially in the PL and OB areas. I have been dining at this location since they opened. I used to go to the PB location but was thrilled when they opened one here in my neighborhood. Only one other time, did we have our food come out cold. That manager apologized and took it back to the kitchen immediately. They brought back the food and the temperature was hot and we were happy. I usually order the TKO on flour and the diver scallop on flour with Fish shop seasoning. I was so hungry I ate my TKO. It was lukewarm inside, tortilla was cold. My friend ordered the same thing and hers was cold. So were the 2 diver scallops. This experience tonight reminded me that restaurants and employees have the power to make or break a diner 's experience. This is coming from someone who has worked in several restaurants in the past before finding my current career. Where I worked, we were trained to be professional and courteous to our guests. When the product is not presented to the guest as advertised, mainly hot when it is supposed to be a hot dish, then the customer should have the right to question why it isn 't hot and to request it to be prepared properly. If the plate is warm to the touch, the fish inside the tortilla covered by cold toppings, should not be presumed to be hot. When a customer sends their food back, you take a chance . Not all people have a professional attitude. Some kitchens get mad when you send food back. Food is sent back, friend goes to the bathroom, where the wall is shared with the kitchen. Friend clearly hears through the vents in the women 's bathroom, here 's your food MF 'r . Now they could be talking about any one 's food. Who knows, but is that what you want to hear from someone preparing your food? The manager delivers food to another table near by and then comes to our table and kinda over sells the fact that she just saw them take the fish off the grill. When we ask to speak to the manager, she says that she is. The information was shared with her and she became immediately defensive. We decided to leave the restaurant, we left our 'hot ' food on the table. I am disgusted by how this particular manager handled this. She was very off putting. I am sad that this location has had a lot of turnover in the front of the house. I don 't know about the kitchen but it seems from some of the other reviews , there food has been very inconsistent. I truly hope that management takes a look at their own behavior and can train their hospitality staff to be more hospitable. I welcome any contact from Executive Management from this location to discuss this experience for future training purposes only."
