"When I used to live in the northern suburbs (Deerfield and Highland Park), I frequented several take-out "Americanized" Chinese restaurants that offered great food, excellent quality, and inexpensive prices, with generous portions. This restaurant is quite similar. Most of these places don't have dining seating (though there are a few exceptions), but this no-frills approach keeps the prices lower than dine-in establishments. However, you won't find dim sum, assorted dumplings, or extravagant specials like crispy Peking duck served mu-shu style. That said, considering what I ordered and the price point, it's definitely worth a visit.
I started with the combo appetizer, which included a pork egg roll, two crab rangoon, and two fried shrimp rings. Everything was served hot and crispy, just as expected, with a nice serving size. The chef’s special pan-fried noodles, featuring a combination of chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables, were excellent. In my opinion, the portion size is enough for about four meals (each about 4 ounces). I’ve had many pan-fried noodles over the years, and this version was very impressive.
The owners are friendly and deliver the food right on time. I arrived ten minutes early for my order, and it was delivered precisely on the promised time, which I didn’t mind waiting for. It was worth it since the food was still piping hot by the time I got it home."
