"**The Good:** The food was enjoyable overall. The scallops were good, and the corn salsa was outstanding. We also tried the Tita and Blanca sangrias, both of which were tasty, particularly the Blanca. A special seafood soup we ordered was flavorful, and the seafood in it was nice. On the whole, the flavors throughout the meal were commendable. Plus, the service was extremely friendly and delightful.
**The Meh:** The soup didn't quite hit the mark for us, but that’s just a matter of personal preference since we lean toward heartier seafood soups. The empanadas were average; my partner had an inexplicable aversion to them. Additionally, the chips served with the guacamole felt like they were store-bought and lacked freshness. Overall, while the flavors were good, the food was just okay.
**The Funny:** We were accidentally served an order of bacon-wrapped dates that was clearly meant for another table. Unfortunately, we realized too late and couldn’t find a server to let them know. It seems they may have misheard our order. We didn’t check to see if we were charged for the dates.
In summary, this was probably the most underwhelming dinner we've had since moving to Silver Spring. It could be a matter of what we ordered, but it’s hard to say for sure."
