"It was just my wife, our small child, and me, so ordering three items shouldn’t have been a problem. The waitress focused entirely on the other group, taking their drink orders, serving them their drinks, and placing their food orders before even acknowledging us. There was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant—a single diner who had already placed his order before any of us arrived.
I understand that the restaurant was short-staffed that day, but it felt very dismissive to be left waiting while the waitress attended to another group under the same circumstances. The approach to service seemed illogical. I sincerely hope my wife’s ethnicity had nothing to do with the treatment we received and that it was simply poor service. Regardless, we will not be returning to this restaurant while that waitress is on duty."
