"Coming here my first time, I was a bit skeptical about the authenticity and quality of the food. I couldn't have been any more wrong, this place is amazingly good. The service was fantastic, very attentive when we needed help. The food was delicious,flavorful and equal to some of the best out there. We had a monster carne asada burrito (this is one big burrito) and checkedtaquitos plate for lunch. No doubt I will be back with my coworkers soon to try a different dish and I will definitely recommendit to my friends and tell more coworkers about this place. The price is fair for the time being with inflation and allhappening."

"I found this restaurant on Yelp when I was searching for a Mexican restaurant near my hotel. Wanted to have some good California Mexican food before I headed back to Montana. This place did not disappoint! Everything about this place was awesome! The ambiance, the food, and the service. Our waitress was Tonya sorry if I misspelled that , who was as sweet and accommodating as could be. My friend asked if they had a hotter salsa than the one served with the chips and next thing we know she brought a sample of all of them! They were all delicious! I don't know about anyone else, but everyone I know judges a Mexican restaurant by the chips and salsa that are served. We were not disappointed. So happy, right from the start. Then my tacos came and from the beans, to the rice, to the tacos loaded with carne asada, it was the best Mexican food I've had in years! My friend even plans on recommending to family nearby. I definitely plan to go back the next time I'm there."

"They are never open at 8am as advertised. I rarely order anything other than breakfast burritos but each time I do at this location they are undercooked and extremely greasy and slimy. Stepped inside this morning after waiting in the drive through for 15 minutes just to get shoo'd out. I will no longer give this location my business."

"I should have checked the reviews before visiting this restaurant, but with so many five-star ratings, I assumed it would be good. I ordered two items since it was my first time: the Super Nachos and the Steak Fajita Quesadilla. The quesadilla was just okay; the steak was barely noticeable, and without the abundance of onions and peppers, it would have been very bland. The Super Nachos were a major disappointment. I requested ground beef as a topping, and while they piled on a lot of it, it was completely unseasoned. The cheese was simply shredded cheese—no white cheese sauce at all. What kind of authentic Mexican restaurant doesn't serve white cheese sauce with nachos? I hope others had a better experience with these dishes, but I certainly did not. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the quesadilla, but I won't be returning."

"Since the son who used to work here moved to Mexico to get married, the food has become completely unappetizing and disappointing! The mother isn't a good cook at all. We ordered two chicken quesadillas—one with jalapeños and the other with green onions. What we received were two unrecognizable blobs that didn’t resemble quesadillas at all. They were a chaotic mess with oversized pieces of chicken, and instead of green onions, one was filled with massive chunks of white onion, rendering them inedible! On top of that, my son almost bit into a bone! This is simply unacceptable and reflects a lack of effort. We won't be returning here. It's a shame too, as we've been loyal customers for years!"

"If you are looking for a good carne asada fries place, this is IT! We used to go to Alberto's for their super fries but as of late, they have been disappointing (fries are dry and burnt, and meat is too salty). After finding this gem, we choose Jilbertos over other local taco shops. However, we recently ordered multiple carne asada fries and all the fries in each order were super hard, burnt and dry which is the reason we stopped going to Alberto's in the first place. I think what makes Jilbertos stand out from other places is their freshly made food. If they continue to provide that, I believe they will continue to have returning customers."
