"The food at this restaurant was exceptional, featuring unique ingredient pairings. We tried the tapas selection and did not explore the entrees. Our only critique was about our server, who could benefit from more training in customer service. While not unfriendly, she struggled to make eye contact and had a very indifferent attitude. It's worth mentioning that she seemed to be an exception among the rest of the servers."

"I am compelled to write this review because even though I am not Peruvian, I grew up eating authentic Peruvian cuisine. This place is a hidden gem, I have been to many Peruvian restaurants in Miami and there ceviche is amazing. This is a small restaurant, but don't be misled the chef is wonderful. There typical traditional dishes like Lomo Saltado( steak strips mixed with French fries)and their Chaufa de Mariscos(combination of seafood) is also delicious. There beer Cusqueña, has a nice light side to it complements the dishes well. There are some dishes that are family style and can be shared. The only complaint if that is that there Sangria is average and in my opinion expensive for what it is. As for the service, they are pretty good and attentive to your needs. Lastly, the pictures on the walls give you a nice feel and are pretty. Enjoy this hidden gem."

"I work in the restaurant industry, and while the bartender provided great service, the overall dining experience was marred by a poor first impression. We had reservations for 7 o'clock, but were told by the host that we would have to wait an additional 20 minutes due to the kitchen being backed up. We were also informed that we couldn't sit at a table if we weren't going to order anything, even though we would have been willing to wait longer for our food and order drinks. We were told to wait at the bar for our table, but the host never came back for us, instead seating others who arrived after us. We ended up ordering food at the bar and expecting a long wait, but our food came out surprisingly quickly, within 15 minutes. The food was decent, but we found it to be overpriced. Overall, I would only consider returning for their happy hour."

"We lived in Peru, and Don Churro has very wellprepared and tasty Peruvian food. Everything was fresh and right off the stove hot, and my wife said the Pisco Sour was delicious. We didn't try the actual churros as the food proportions were very generous with an appetizer you could split an entree, but they looked great at the next table. There was a live singer accompanied by generated music, but he was pretty good and very entertaining, but not so loud as to drown out conversation"

"My granddaughter ordered oysters. When it arrived she noticed that one of the oysters were moving. Quite understandably she was shocked. One of the waiters came over and took away the plate. It turned out that there was a small crab within the oyster. There was no apology or anything about this taking place. If anything every time they walked pass they would smile. My granddaughter didn’t eat anything after this and it spoilt the rest of the evening. It was a shame as everyone seemed friendly but they need to improve their customer services and understanding of the potential impact to someone’s health by not serving appropriate meals."

"We dined at this restaurant multiple times and the cuisine is superb. Our top picks are the green enchiladas and arroz chaufa. We enjoyed the food so much that we decided to order it for our son's first birthday party, to serve over 20 guests. The food was a hit, as expected! Many guests inquired about the chef behind the delicious rice, and received rave reviews from native Peruvians. Deducting one star because I placed my order at 11:30 but it was not prepared until I arrived."

"So, first and foremost... the location is in a shopping center, nothing glamorous about it, so let your date know this is nothing to rave home about in regard to the location or it 's interior, so it 's definitely a casual dining setting.... BUT......Stellar food!! I have visited here a few times and it never disappoints! Which reminds me, I 'm not sure if I 've ever made a review! The flavors are so incredible, the meats are trimmed and well prepared. I had a filet with a seafood medley in an orange sauce accompanied by fried yucca and caviar named filet a lo macho the combination didn 't sound right in my head but I was intrigued by the servers suggestions and gave it a whirl, and geez was I glad I did! It was truly a party in my mouth! You will not regret this dish, in fact, the plate itself looks like a work of art! The prices are a little on the steep end but with inflation it makes sense and honestly you won 't find these flavor combinations anywhere else! Let me know your thoughts when you visit. It will definitely not be your last time and remember.. I can be quite the critic!"

"What more can you possibly say about a perfect meal? The food was cooked to perfection. The desserts are mind blowingly good. The atmosphere is very relaxed and perfectly appointed. The service was sensational. The things that really stand out are the hot sauce, which was perfectly spicy. The rice was anything but ordinary-phenomenal! The music was a perfect mix of ambient electonic. This is the first time in a long time that the meal and every detail was absolutely perfect. Today's meal was about celebrating the changes and opportunities that lay ahead for our family and it was a perfect representation of the exciting times ahead."

"The food in this restaurant is ALWAYS delicious, but I've noticed that every time I've gone, regardless of the waiter, they are always pushing the most expensive dishes and it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth! They had several ceviches for about $18 bucks and they kept trying to get me to order the $48 ceviche. My friend was ordering the Lomo Saltado and they kept asking her to upgrade the beef to filet mignon. Only because I was treating for my friend's bday lunch is why I didn't say anything, but if I had been with family, I would have definitely called them out on all these ugly tactics! It really put a hamper on an otherwise excellent meal!"

"My wife and I aren 't into Latin American cuisine but friends persuaded us to have dinner at Carnivale because it is a wow your senses type of restaurant with a lively atmosphere, colorful decor, original artwork, festive vibe, food from Spain, Mexico, South America, Central America and the Caribbean and one-of-kind desserts. How about cotton candy and caramel popcorn? It reminded me of carnivals in the 1950s with Ferris wheels and bingo games, a throwback to the good ole days and a great way to end a wonderful dining experience. Located at 702 West Fulton Market Street, in Chicago 's West Loop neighborhood, Carnivale opened in 2005 with a fresh approach to dining out, a Latin fusion cuisine that promised something new and different but altogether satisfying. Open from 1 to 8:30 on Sunday, 5 to 9 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5 to 9:30 on Friday and 4 to 9:30 on Saturday, it offers everything from quesadillas and empanadas to several versions of traditional paella. We started with beef empanada, shrimp quesadillas with wild-caught shrimp, Qaxaca cheese, greens and Chipotle aioli and Caesar salad with Romaine lettuce, sourdough croutons, home-made Caesar dressing and parmesan cheese with salmon. For her entree, my wife chose lamb shank with Spanish style fava bean stew, Piquillo pepper, spicy peas and pickled onion with mashed potatoes. I thoroughly enjoyed an order of Ox Tail paella with braised Ox Tail in Spanish sherry, baby carrots, parsnips, sweet potatoes, spinach, roasted mushrooms, pepper, bone marrow and bomba rice. The cotton candy and caramel popcorn dessert made a couple of 80-year-olds feel like teenagers all over again."

"Food overall was good. My entree however, the vegetarian bowl was not what I expected. It was described as sautéed vegetables with quinoa, but then the waitress asked if I wanted the rice in addition to the quinoa. I said no, just the quinoa. She said that's five dollars extra. I showed her that the description listed quinoa and not rice, and she said yes but it's five dollars extra. OK, I said. Something was obviously lost in translation. Whatever. When the large bowl arrived it was almost all quinoa with tiny bits of vegetables mixed in."

"this place is ridiculous. we ordered egg rolls and Patatas band. the egg rolls were $11, and it was literally cut two egg rolls in the half. they tasted as if someone had just discovered ingwer, because that was the only taste in the ground, and the outer was burned in sharing. the patatas bravas were about $15. it was a plate of boiled cubes with romesco and cashew cream, and a few flower leaves above. the carrots were not browned and crispy. I had better kartoffels for a third of the price at every breakfast place. the bottles of wine were halfway away because it was Wednesday. weeping wee though in the regular $60, we skipped it. our server immediately cooled to us when we decided to order alcohol. there was also what seemed colorful fur coats hanging on the bathroom that was strange for juli in a vegan restaurant. we would have eaten at odd duck in the night, which has similar small plate-setting prices. but odd duck was a world away that was better worth every last penny. it's a pity because strange town is totally vegan, but I can't imagine eating again. after our dinner we had left pizza at home. updated by previous review on 2022-07-30"

"I discovered this wonderful restaurant through Google, and I'm so glad I did! The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, prompting me to share this enthusiastic review. While the exterior may look like an ordinary strip mall, stepping inside reveals beautiful decor and music that create a cozy, rustic ambiance. The staff was friendly and efficient, and they serve real butter, which is a must for me. My meal arrived quickly and was exactly what I ordered. They even offer a little extra spice on the side for those who are feeling adventurous, which added some great flavor. I didn't sample anything from the bar this time since I had to catch a flight, but they have a full selection available. If I'm ever back in Ft. Myers, I know exactly where I'll be dining!"

"I stopped in for a snack with friends the other day, and overall we were happy with the friendly service and the food accommodation. The waiter made sure my empanadas were vegetarian and one of my friends was without vegetables. They were seasoned liberally and crisp to perfection. Their house sauce was okay, but I couldn't get enough of their spicy sauce. For the price, I left pretty full."
