"Former Sea Salt restaurant. Serene setting on Los Penasquitos lagoon, looking toward Torrey Pines beach and cliffs. Beach town vibe. Italian menu with many choices. We shared the deep fried calamari $18 and okay), and the lamb special, Osso Bucco $42), braised veal shank. Tasty sauce. Mid-sized portion. Other tables were enjoying the house-made pasta, which we will try next time. Excellent service. Knowledgable, helpful, good timing on water and wine refills."

"The simplest but most flavorful food and very warm and pleasant owner and environment. Mildly rustic interior but I adored everything including the smell of the restaurant when I walked in, the delicious food, the outstanding wine collection, the great music selection, the very clean and nice smelling bathroom at 9 pm, etc. And ironically, I chatted with ppl at another table it was their first time too and we all agreed we were stunned and would be back soon. I LOVED EVERYTHING!!! (I had a glass of Chianti with Spaghetti Carbonara and my friend had a red with the Linguini and Sausage and we both loved everything)."
