"We came here because it was closer to where we lived, but I can honestly say I wish I'd driven to West Springfield instead. The environment was dead... The chef seemed like he was overworked (though his technical skills were amazing) and the waitress neverchecked in on us. They sat another company with us and automatically charged the 18% gratuity to our bill despite the fact wewere only a party of 4. I will NOT be going back to this location... If you're going to charge for gratuity, at LEAST provideit!!!! And to add to that, they tried to rush us out of the restaurant... As if they couldn't get us out fast enough! Spending$300 at a restaurant means you should and demand some kind of respect, but apparently.... That's not enough nor is the 18%gratuity that was tacked on the bill."

"This is undoubtedly one of my favorite restaurants. Each visit is a wonderful experience. The staff is consistently friendly, and the restaurant is always spotless. They are attentive without being overbearing. The prices are reasonable, and the service is remarkably quick—I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my food. "My new fave spot for sashimi! Was craving for sashimi one night and found this place. At first I was a bit wary cause of some reviews but decided to just go for it. Got the sashimi deluxe, the salmon sashimi set (15 pcs), and some pieces a la carte. They were absolutely fresh! Thick cuts, and at the perfect temperature too. Haven't tried any of the other menu items though, but this place will def be my go to for sashimi."

"Service is amazing and their food is great! I heard about this place through a friend and decided to give it a go since I needed a katsu fix and it’s hard finding a place in Brooklyn that makes good katsu. To my surprise it was actually pretty good. There was a decent amount of meat (not too thin like other restaurants) and layer of breading. Although I found it to be quite dry alone, they provide sauce for you to dip in. The sauce tasted like ketchup? I’m not a huge fan of the sauce and I would prefer if they offered other options with their katsu like curry but it satisfied me till my next trip ??"

"my man and I eat here all the time, we are both incredibly picky when it comes to sushi and quality. that is an excellent restaurant and the fish is always fresh. also they are almost always right when it comes to estimated time for pickup take. it is really amazing how exactly they are not getting it after it was said 30 minutes to find out that sushi has been sitting there for 20 minutes. it's getting almost right out when we walk in the door. I'm going there now, I want to know why?"

"Ended up eating here by accident, the place we attempted to dine at moved to an upstairs location and I wasnt able to carry my stroller up a steep and narrow staircase, so we went across to Takara and we were very happy we did. The seaweed salad was the best I have ever had! The sushi tasted very fresh and the Thai Basil Rice with Shrimp was so tasty. I would definitely visit this place again."

"My husband and I have been here many times. We especially like their roti canai, which is great. Our experience has usually been great but the reason for lower rating today is that I feel cheated by them. We were just 2 people and yet they decided to add 22% tip to our bill on their own in the electronic system and the waiter sneeked the itemized bill quickly so I couldn’t question him. The waiter who served us was not attentive at all and took several minutes to take our orders or to pay attention to us while we waved our hands at him as he said the kitchen was closing in 7 min so we wanted to add 1 more item before they closed. I would still have tipped them well if I was given the fair chance to add a tip of my choice. However, adding tip without asking us seems unethical to me given that they have not mentioned anywhere on their menu that a standard tip is added to the final check for any party size. I’m not sure if this was the waiter being sneeky or the restaurant but we were disappointed."

"They're cheap and close by so I've ordered from them a few times. Yesterday I ordered four chicken teriyaki lunch specials and they all smelled sour. How do you sell customers rotten food? Business is tough cause of Covid19 but to not throw out bad food to make sales is not a good practice to sustain your business, especially in a smaller community."

"I came a for weekend lunch with my wife and daughter. We ordered a variety of signature sushi rolls and shared everything. The sushi was delicious! We loved everything we ordered. The service was a little sporadic and disjointed. There was no dedicated server and the staff didn't communicate well. We ordered hot tea and they brought us all ice water. We waited to see if they were going to bring tea as well but they never did, so we asked for it and then they brought it. The water had a little bit of an unpleasant taste. I think the ice gave the water a little funk. Ice machines are usually filthy and full of mold and mildew, so I like to avoid it whenever possible. Another critique was that the food took a long time to arrive. We waited 30 minutes for our sushi. The restaurant wasn't empty, but it wasn't super busy. Maybe they prioritize deliveries? I don't know what it was, but 30 minutes for sushi rolls at lunch time regardless of weekday or weekend is just too long. We were hoping to be in and out in an hour and it took an hour and twenty minutes from the time we walked in until the time we walked out the door, so be sure to pay for the full two hours on the parking meter. 4 Stars for delicious food alone. I'd like to give 3.5 stars because of the service being below average."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate on his own initiative. We will come back in any case."

"Listen- Tom Kha Gai is my comfort food, and this place does it RIGHT. They also have amazing sushi rolls. My 4 year old also loves eating here because they have a cute little robot that delivers your food to you : I've been here a few times, and all the servers have been phenomenal. "I ordered through Grubhub using a gift card and placed my order around 6 PM, but I didn’t receive it until almost 8 PM. While that delay might be on Grubhub, the food was an even bigger issue. I ordered a kani salad, and it was drenched in mayo—almost inedible; it was so overwhelming that it made me gag. The spicy tuna roll was alarmingly bright red for some reason. As for the sweet potato tempura roll, it was completely lacking in crunch and was just mushy. The only decent item in my order was a shrimp roll. All in all, this experience was disappointing; they need to do better."

"The deluxe bento boxes are the best $15 you will spend in this area, and one of the best value $15 meals in the city.The salmon teriyaki deluxe bento is my go to. It includes: miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, a thin but delicious salmon steak atop white rice, a California roll, perfectly crispy vegetable tempura AND a shrimp tempura. It is absolutely enough food for two meals, or one big meal for a really hungry person. Every time I've ever been in person there, they are busy, which is a great sign and also a sign that everything they produce is fresh. The sushi is serviceable but not an amazing I suggest one of the Maki combos which come with 3 rolls for around $14. If you're in ordering range, I suggest calling them directly versus using one of the delivery services prices are higher on the apps and you can pay in cash to the delivery guy if that's your preference. If you're dining in, don't expect much. They pivoted to all take out and delivery during the pandemic so the dining room is more or less a waiting area for delivery drivers now, but works in a pinch."

"Yesterday, my cousin and I dined at this restaurant for the first time, and we were truly impressed by the decor, service, and delicious food. Our waiter, Simson, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick. All of the appetizers and main dishes were fresh and flavorful. We started with shumai and gyoza, which are pork dumplings, and for our main course, we enjoyed crunchy tuna and crab rolls, a volcano roll, a shrimp tail roll, seafood fried rice, and General Tso's chicken. The restaurant's interior exuded a cultural Japanese ambiance, with beautiful furniture, art, and seating. We will definitely be returning to this place again; the food and service are outstanding."
