"Food was innovative, very different from the usual, but not pretentious. The flavor combinations were quite amazing, blended but with sparkle. For example, I had the braised spring onions to start kale spaetzle as a main. Mustard seed was used and cooked in such a way that it lent blended flavor to the sauce, but when a seed was encountered it burst with a wonderful accent flavor. House made bread and pastries are also exceedingly good. I am not a dessert person, but the chocolate eclair used extraordinarily good chocolate and was a wonderful combination of textures as well.The service was attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Keep in mind that this is a small bistro with reasonable prices to match. It is a place for casual great food. We went before a performance at Magic Theater at Fort Mason and it was perfect"
