"We had a wonderful experience Toca on September 19, 2023 . Our waiter was Luis and the service, food, ambience everything was excellent. Luis was courteous, knowledgeable, responsive and considerate. He did not forget anything. His service was impeccable and seamless. We were very pleased to visit the kitchen witness the order and cleanliness. Overall the whole experience made our Toronto visit unforgetable. All the courses were wonderful. The ingredients were fresh the sorbet with the red pepper flavor was an experience to try and made a great conversation memory!! The cheese cave is a must see there Thank you ?"

"I visited this place with my wife and daughter on last Frdiay and was impressed with the quality of food and drinks. We didn't have a reservtion and hence had to wait foralmost 30 mtniutes before we got a table in the backyard- a cute little space laid out with wooden bench alongside the wall. Our cocktails were very good and the Tamrarind Mezcal special drink was temptingly addictive. Food was excellent- wonderful flavor, fresh and neatly balanced with all the condiments/stuff mexican food is renowned for. Although one fo our dish -short rib Taco castillo got unduly delayed, the manager/owner was courteous to slide in skirt teak taco on the house. BTW, the rib Taco castillo was the only let down to otherwise excellent food and drinks we enjoyed at this fantastic place. Highly recommend the place! worth visiting! BTW pl make reservations before you visit, especially on weekends/holidays. Cheers"

"Food was innovative, very different from the usual, but not pretentious. The flavor combinations were quite amazing, blended but with sparkle. For example, I had the braised spring onions to start kale spaetzle as a main. Mustard seed was used and cooked in such a way that it lent blended flavor to the sauce, but when a seed was encountered it burst with a wonderful accent flavor. House made bread and pastries are also exceedingly good. I am not a dessert person, but the chocolate eclair used extraordinarily good chocolate and was a wonderful combination of textures as well.The service was attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Keep in mind that this is a small bistro with reasonable prices to match. It is a place for casual great food. We went before a performance at Magic Theater at Fort Mason and it was perfect"

"We had a reservation but still had to wait 15 20 min for a table. Sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks while we waited. For dinner, ordered a couple flat breads (olive oil mushroom ones), which were tasty. Ordered the mushroom polenta and wild mushroom pie from the small plates the polenta was amazing, pie was good. Also got potatoes and carrots from the vegetable dishes and two mushroom gnocchis for the table to share. The veg dishes were good, although I was honestly hoping for a bit more out of them. The gnocchi was fine nothing to write home about. Drinks were good, but not particularly notable. Would return if friends ever wanted to go, but not necessarily otherwise."
