"tao uptown should not be reservations from 9:00 o'clock. we were in the city, but we decided to try uptown for a birthday party. when we arrived at the restaurant, we sat and let our first server come to our table after 5-10 minutes. he had no impression, seemed irritated and asked what we wanted to drink. he's taking our drinks to the table and leaving. we don't see him for the rest of the night. for me that was promising. I thought we could have a chance to get a better friendly server. I was wrong. the next server comes to our table after 10 minutes after we get our drinks. it is now 9:30, and she does not say hello, doesn’t ask if we want to order another drink, says nothing other than: “Are they ready to order our kitchen closes at 10:00” (keep in mind open table let’s them reservations up to 9:45. we are at 9 and have no server with our order until 9:30. a few minutes later, we were in our order. the separated still seems to be irritated. we get our food at 10, eat and expect us to have a dessert for birthday. that was obviously not possible. it brings out 3 strawberries that were cut in half a half a half with an illuminated candle and says that our kitchen was closed. still no smile, no personality, no sincerity. we pay and go. I will definitely not return to this place and feel bad for anyone who has a 9:00 or later reservation."
