"Our table was ready for us. The food was excellent. We started with two each of the mussels in wine sauce and the shrimp with garlic aioli for the table. The broth for the mussels was exceptionally good so we kept asking for more bread to go with it. They were fairly stingy with that. We tried a selection of entrees including the Coquille St. Jacque, the mushroom risotto, the steak, the roasted chicken and the burgers along with truffle Mac and cheese and frites to share. No mention of the special occasions we were celebrating that were noted in the reservation. All were very good and served hot. Service was fine but not attentive. All In all, a good experience. I would return."

"Amazing experience. Despite it being 90 degrees outside on the terrace, the hospitality, food, and ambiance was lovely. Everyone from the host to the waiters to the sommelier were wonderful. They were kind enough to even keep our red wine at a perfect temperature inside so it did not get even a few degrees warmer while dining outside. Also went for a birthday and, without asking, received a beautiful dessert and candle. All in all it truly is one of the best restaurants top to bottom even outside and during these challenging times. Bravo to everyone at Daniel and thank you!"

"Paul Patisserie is located in downtown Washington DC in a prime location close to the National Mall. They proudly proclaim their establishment year to be 1889 and their 'L 'amour du pain ', the love of bread! They also go head to describe the traditional family methods and fresh ingredients that go into their products. What we ordered did taste fresh and wholesome. There 's ample sitting space indoors and outdoors. They stock a range of sandwiches, croissants, donuts, tarts, macrons and other baked goodies! Very popular during breakfast hours. We ordered omelette with bell peppers and tomatoes along with croissant and pumpkin spice cappuccino. Though a tad slow on deluvery, food was wholesome, tasty and filling. Do try out their coffees as its part of the Paul experience."

"I didn’t sample the food myself, but my wife tried a slice of the bread as we were passing by and ended up wanting to buy a whole loaf. So, we decided to stop in and enjoy a couple of coffees. While I can’t say much about the coffee itself—it’s coffee, after all—the ambiance of the bakery was lovely. It had a slightly upscale feel without being over the top, and it was just quiet enough for us to relax and have a nice conversation."

"This restaurant doesn’t accept cash, which I find quite surprising. The staff was rather unpleasant, a sentiment echoed in several reviews. Their indifference and curt demeanor made for an unwelcoming atmosphere. The business should definitely pay attention to the numerous comments about this issue, as it could harm customer relationships. On a positive note, the food was quite good, but there are better bakeries throughout Northern Virginia that also offer excellent customer service. Because of this experience, I don't think I’ll be returning."

"I stepped inside, and the delightful aroma of fresh baguettes and other scrumptious treats enveloped me—it was so heartwarming. The design of the bakery is simply charming, with bright colors, plenty of space, and everything beautifully presented. The smell is absolutely mouthwatering. I ordered a Baguette Parisienne and a Mini Pain au Chocolat; a delightful bonus is that you can order in French since there are genuine French people working there! Closing your eyes, you could easily imagine being in a bakery in France... (cue daydreams about France, Paris, cheese, wine, and all those other delicious French delights). I'm so glad this place exists!"
