"We went earlier in the night, so it was a rather peaceful dining experience. We both had the Cesar salads which were excellent. For main courses she had the lasagna and I had the meatballs and spaghetti (spicy version. Her lasagna was, “so good” which she mentioned was very balanced. My spicy meatballs were a bit on the spicy side, but still delicious nonetheless. My wife had a tasty glass of Pinot Noir (Solena with dinner, and I had an IPA (Laguanitas Lil’ Sumptin’ . For dessert, she had the Mocha Torte and I had the cheesecake w/ chocolate sauce. Both were superb. The atmosphere was nice. When we could hear the music, earlier in the evening, it was a nice mix of modern music which we enjoyed. I got a bit louder as more patrons came later on. The ambience is a bit dark, but still pleasant. The bathrooms were clean, but there is a latrine quite visible as you open the door to the male restroom (awkward . Our staff was very attentive. Killian did a great job as our waiter. The other staff were also attentive with refreshing our drinks and taking away empty plates. Food came quickly. The manager stopped by to ask us how everything was going, which was a classy touch. Overall it was a pleasant time out and we will be enjoying them in the future."

"This is a very fine restaurant. The servers are knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. The pace is perfect as we never felt rushed even for a second. The oysters are fresh. The appetizer list is loaded with seasonal things like stuffed zucchini blossoms. We opted for the prosciutto wrapped fresh mozzarella. The short rib entree was perfect as was the lasagna the latter tasted like the lovely piece of homemade lasagna that you cook up the day after you serve it to your family you know that piece that you can just enjoy without all of the trappings of a formal dinner. This is a really nice place where you can dress up or be casual. It can be easily a special event spot, or that place to meet your friends for a cocktail and a wood fired pizza at the bar. Well done!"

"We had great service, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant, and we had a very enjoyable time. We started with the arugula salad, garlic flatbread, and together they were quite tasty playing off each other. The cheese ravioli was next for me and my wife got a chicken dish. "We stumbled upon Baccano and couldn't have been more delighted to discover this hidden treasure! As avid Italian food enthusiasts, we decided to sample a variety of dishes from the menu. The pizzas featured unique toppings that I never imagined would work so well together—they left me utterly speechless. The pizza with pecans was particularly outstanding; it had a crispy texture paired with a rich, savory crust. The balance of toppings was just right, and the prosciutto was incredibly fresh and perfectly sliced. All the dishes paired beautifully with San Pellegrino sodas, so we made sure to try every flavor. And we can't forget about dessert—the grand finale was a Nutella calzone! It was simply heavenly. This kind of restaurant is hard to come by; you absolutely have to visit. "Where to start. It was Mother’s Day, we had reservations. The restaurant’s decor is lovely and inviting. We were promptly seated on the second floor. I would have nothing bad to say about the area had it not become an actual FURNACE. It was BEYOND hot! We were literally roasting. The staff appeared embarrassed when we mentioned it, obviously used to this complaint. It stinks for them, after all, it’s not their fault the small AC unit does not do much to cool the area. Sweating during a much anticipated meal is not ok though. Aside from that, I will say the Bruschetta appetizer was delish. The pasta entries were decent, but somewhat dry. The Tiramisu and Nutella ice cream were tasty. We attempted to order a brunch item (pancakes) at 3:10pm, and the server told us we were 10 minutes too late. That was insult to injury considering how uncomfortably hot we were upstairs. The pizza was amazing. We will sooner order the pizza for take-out than dining in house here again. All things considered, staff was friendly and prices were reasonable. I hope they can figure out the AC issue soon."

"Popped in early around 4:30pm on a week day for a very early light dinner. Given the time of day we were the only people there. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order despite being the only patrons in the place. We ordered the calamari to start which was average. I did like the veggies that were part of the dish but the calamari was only slightly tender. We then split a large mixed salad with grilled shrimp. It had tasty roasted red and yellow peppers, goat cheese, pine nuts and tomatoes. The salad was good but the overall experience was average. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and street parking was plentiful. The servers were pleasant but not very attentive."

"We had an excellent dining experience with fantastic food and service! I didn't manage to take photos of all our dishes, but they were all delicious. We ordered the mussels marinara, truffle pasta, and shrimp fra diavolo. The only disappointment was the Bahama Mama, which tasted more like a coconut slush than an alcoholic drink. It was one of those premixed cocktails that tasted good, but for $12, I expected to actually taste the rum. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and as locals, we definitely plan to return."

"Gusto's is a gem. We always enjoy the food. The beet salad and braised short rib are favorites. The orange Italian soda tastes great. The restaurant is clean with well spaced tables and seating. The service staff are excellent and enthusiastic about the food they serve. The restaurant has it's own parking lot. I would recommend reservations if coming for dinner. Vegetarian options: They have a fair amount of vegetarian options such as 2 types of ravioli, pizza, and salads."

"The End: My brother and his girlfriend plan to return in the future and I would also totally return to this restaurant if I lived in the area. The Start: Was given this address by my brother to meet up for diner as I passed through town. The Middle: 1. The Rosemary chicken was so tender, the meat practically fell off the bone and tasted so good! 2. I ordered a medium rare Gorgonzola burger and was presented with another tasty dish. 3. Tried a cut of the sliced steak which tender and tasty. Have I said the food was tasty yet? 'Cuz it was tasty! I 've tasted better truffle french fries, but they still complimented our meals nicely. 4. The waitress was very nice and efficient. The Middle: 1. While I was disappointed that the waitress never refilled my waterglass which was empty most of the meal, it was my fault as I failed to notice the large green water filled glass bottle at the other end of the table against the wall. 2. The dessert said Gelato , but I 've had Gelato and this tasted like ice cream. Ice cream is tasty, but should be labelled as such. I could be wrong, but I 'd be surprised. 3. The music was a bit loud. My dinner companions laughed when I mentioned this as it had been even louder before I arrived they 'd already ask for it to be turned down Which CP was nice enough to do. The Final: The food was so good I was more than willing to gloss over the 's. Very impressed. Oh yeah; Be careful entering the restroom door; there are stairs directly within which lead down to a single coed, multi stalled bathroom. I almost fell. Definitely call ahead to check for ADA accomodations I might have missed seeing. Brother ordered pizza. I thought it was ok , but he polished off the whole thing. Brother used Groupon."

"Really disappointing Margherita pizza. Not my favorite pizza in Philly and wouldnt make my top 5 Margherita Pizzas--let alone top 5 overall pizzas. I can appreciate artisanal thin crust, but the crust itself was flavorless and charred. There were loads of air bubbles throughout--not just on the edges. The sauce had a lot left to be desired--in that there wasnt much of it. The cheese globs had hardened by time of arrival and I live fairly close to the restaurant. And the basil was sparsely sitting atop the pizza which was the most flavor I could taste. Im not usually a person to leave negative reviews but I would suggest trying another place. Maybe, Ill try the other selections and feel differently but this one wasnt it. If I have to reheat and bring out sauces and toppings to eat a $16 pizza, I think that says volumes."

"Stopped by this pizza spot twice during my last trip as it was close to where I was staying and open late for a bite post concert. What we got: Sofia Loren Slice Pepperoni Slice Margherita Slice Garlic Knot Final thoughts: Spot is okay, but I've had much better pizza elsewhere. I found the slices to be thin and crispy, but also quite oily and lacking in the cheese department (though the bites with mozz were great). I like my pizza saucier and with more cheese, but that's just my taste. A protip if you get a garlic knot is to save that marinara sauce and add it to your left over slice if you also like a little more sauce!"

"The owner or manager was phenomenal and incredibly accommodating to our large party during our recent visit. The food was great. Definitely get the pizza and the wings were delicious also. The prices were a little steep for what you get but to be expected in this area and overall well worth it. We liked the atmosphere and the place is very clean."

"Service was very attentive, though there was a lot of upselling by our server which was mildly annoying. winter salad was very tasty, not too much dressing, and nice original combination. Carbonara was a disappointment. VERY salty and way too cheesy (and I love cheese! . Ravioli got good reviews but also a too salty mention. Disappointed with $14 glass of wine that was like miniature. Either get. Smaller glasses or provide a real pour for that much money. Noise level and acoustics is primarily what would keep me from returning. We were there on a Monday night and place was busy but not full. Between the music, the other patrons and the uncovered floors and tables we could barely have a conversation. I would try the pizza for take out but don’t need to return to the restaurant, maybe the pizza is not so salty? Not a bad experience by any means but probably would not return if given a choice."
