"This isn't the first time we've been to the HoDo, and every time we seem to have one problem or another. The most frequent issue is the slow service, especially for drinks. The lounge is usually busy and the bartenders either can't keep up or they preferentially service the bar over the restaurant. In any case waiting 20 minutes to get your first drink after being seated isn't acceptable. We ordered an appetizer (lavosh) that was very good, but that came out before our drinks. I ordered the salmon and was very disappointed. It was thin, dry, and overcooked. The accompaniments were delicious, but the salmon was bad. My wife had sirloin braciola, and it was good, but not excellent. One expects better from a fine dining establishment, especially since you are paying fine dining prices. It's too bad the HoDo can't get it together in the restaurant. It has a premiere location and nice ambience."
