"Our server never returned to check on us after our meal was dropped off by a runner. The $24 crab cake sandwich was the worst I've ever had. I had a guest visiting from Tennessee and encouraged her to try one of the local specialties, but I regretted that choice. The sandwich was made with backfin crab and was incredibly thin; mine was noticeably smaller than the other two. The red pepper aioli was slathered on so heavily that the overwhelming taste of garlic masked everything else. It was spicy enough to burn our tongues and left all of us with terrible indigestion. We had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a while, especially since it’s often packed for brunch when we walk by, which made us assume it must be good. I felt embarrassed to have brought our guest here."
