"The decor was plain, lacking color and inspiration, yet it was very clean and well-maintained. I’m not sure what I would change about it. Based on my experiences at other local restaurants in Maui’s upcountry, this atmosphere is pretty typical. Thankfully, it doesn’t feel overly touristy. The surfboards add a nice touch to the ambiance. While there were a few Hawaiian-themed photos, I think adding some surfing images to the dining area alongside the boards would enhance the vibe. But with such great food on offer, this isn’t a major concern. It would be nice to boost the Hawaiian atmosphere even more with some background music and staff wearing Aloha shirts.
As for the service, it was outstanding. Our server embodied the spirit of aloha, efficiently managing our table of 16 with care. She truly deserved the generous 50% tip I left her. Her professionalism, cheerful demeanor, and ability to handle our group's numerous requests were greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning. I’d even consider wearing my Aloha shirt and Rip Curl Boardshorts next time, though I worry that might spoil everyone’s appetite! I highly recommend this place. Ai maikai and aloha!"
