"We were thoroughly impressed by Nikos, the Restaurant Manager, who welcomed us and assisted my wife and me in choosing a fantastic Mexican dinner. I observed the dedication he showed towards other customers, making frequent trips to the kitchen and actively supporting his team in their roles. For us, who dine out at many restaurants each week, it was refreshing to see a manager so engaged and exceptional. The food itself was delicious, served hot, and beautifully presented. "Food was good but server was off his game today because they were short staffed and I wish he would had just taken the time to explain that they were short handed tonight and I would have definitely cut him some slack but by the time I was ready to pay and leave because of the elongated wait it made me not even want to tip him any longer and I was almost tempted to nicely walk out. As far as the manger goes yes I understand that she had no control over whoever she staffed for the shift not showing up but I feel like if she knew people were running behind why not take action to step in as a server for the time being to help your wait staff out and explain to your patrons while they're being seated or coming in the door that the service is going to be a little slower than usual but please be patient with us.. But before I left she assured me that the true of service I had today would but happen the next time and I'm definitely going to take her up on it"

"We went to try their food before using them for catering. We went on a Saturday night, and they weren’t too busy(should have been a sign! Our server was pleasant enough, but her attention to detail and her service were subpar at best. We had to ask for extra chips 3 times before she actually brought them at which point our queso was cold. Why not just bring chips with the queso? Speaking of the queso, it’s really just velveta and rotel. Nothing special. We ordered steak and chicken fajitas as that’s what we wanted to try before our party. Glad we did! My husband and daughter had the steak~they said it was ok, not great but tasty enough. My other daughter and I had the chicken. It was tasteless. It wasn’t marinated before cooking or even seasoned for that matter. If you like bland tasteless food, this is for you! Both fajita orders were served with way too many onions and very few soggy peppers. We like peppers and there were literally only 3 on each order~2 green slices and a red. Back to the service~it was awful! She wasn’t even that busy! My husband ordered a second Marg. He didn’t get it until our meal was finished~almost 20 minutes later! Our fajitas were served with no little plate to put the individual fajitas on, we only got the hot serving plate. Of course our server was nowhere to be found to ask for plates. By the time we got plates, our food was cold. At no point during the meal did she(our server come over and ask us how our meal was, or if we needed anything. Just avoid this place and save yourself the headache! There are plenty of other excellent Mexican restaurants at this same price point!"

"Me and the ladies had a shopping day at the mall 11/12/22 and decided to stop by On The Border for a bite instead of eating in the mall and were we in for a treat!! It was a fairly good size group of ladies and since it was a impromptu visit we didn?thave reservations but the restaurant accommodated us without complaint and quickly. We chose to sit out on the patio. They foodwas good, the typical Mexican restaurant food. But it was the overall extraordinary service and overall patience that wereceived from our waiter JOSH who took a selfie) see Josh below in pic gallery. He was very attentive, kind, upbeat and evenassisted us in taking photos for our group! He is amazing and made our visit fun and worthwhile. Next time I?m visiting inCharlotte I will make a stop to On The Border! Thanks Josh!!"

"Waited 20 minutes with 3 other parties to be seated while the manager and an employee talked at the bar. When I approached them to ask about the wait they said they were understaffed and couldn’t sit us. Ok , I understand that. What I can’t understand is common courtesy to come tell the customers waiting at the door to be seated. Will not return because if the manager cares that little about their customers they care even less about the quality of their service and food."

"I've been going to On The Border in Lewisville for years. I've had many great experiences. My daughter and I were just there this past Thursday late. Arrived at 10. Jason was our waiter and bartender and made sure we got their happy hour appetizers and drinks. He was the perfect host. Another great experience!"

"Tonight was ladies night out and they chose to go to on the border Mexican grill it started out to be a good time the food was good and the service was good then as the meal was winding down one of the ladies found a hair on her plate it was stuck to the plate under her food and she didn't see it till she was almost done with her meal of course she and everyone else lost their appetite. She asked the waitress if she could speak to the manager when the manager came out she immediately went on the defense and told her that all she was going to do was give her the rice and beans that she had left after finding the hair no deduction, no free dinner and then when the lady said she wasn't going to pay for it, the manager said she was going to call the police I was livid any other RESPECTABLE restaurant would have given the entire company a free meal for the inconvenience this was my first time going there and now it's the last one too if anyone out there is considering going to eat there don't do it you might get a surprise on your plate too. "Fantastic customer service! I had ordered a door bag and mistakenly called the wrong location to request that they not include acidic sauce. They called me back to inform me that they hadn't received my order, and I realized I had contacted the incorrect location. Once I called the right place, they were just finishing up my burrito, but they offered me a new dish instead. I felt guilty about the mix-up, but I was so pleased with how willing they were to accommodate me despite my mistake."
