"However, this time, the Margherita pizza didn’t have the same flavor I’ve come to expect; it either lacked enough tomato sauce or seasoning. The Burrata pizza was just okay. The staff was friendly, but I was uncomfortable when I noticed that one employee, who added toppings to the pizza as it came out of the oven, wasn’t wearing gloves. I recently saw a video by a popular social media personality discussing food preparation and the hygiene issues that can arise, like dirt or debris under fingernails making its way into food. It left a bad impression, especially when I saw the server handling basil with nails that looked like they might have dirt under them.
It’s disheartening to feel uneasy about enjoying a meal after spending money. I ended up praying about it since I was really hungry and threw the pizza back in the oven at high heat. A few slices went uneaten because thoughts of dirt or hair from hands that knead the dough without gloves made me uncomfortable. Overall, I hope the restaurant addresses these hygiene concerns because I do want to love their food as much as I used to."
