"The prices at this restaurant are unbeatable and the food is comforting. The waitresses are fantastic and make you feel right at home. It has a nostalgic, old-fashioned diner vibe and is open 24 hours a day. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked 8 oz steak and delicious mashed potatoes, just like homemade. The hot cocoa was also delicious. My dining experience at this restaurant was wonderful from start to finish. There is even a bar near the restrooms where they host lively karaoke nights. The atmosphere, food, and prices are all exceptional and transport you back to the 1950s with their friendly and welcoming service. I will definitely be returning to eat here again."

"I had lunch here with my son, who has Celiac disease. The manager, Blake, was incredible. After speaking with him, I felt completely assured that they would take every precaution to ensure my son wouldn't accidentally consume gluten. When he ingests gluten, he vomits for 4 to 6 hours, so it’s crucial for us. Blake even went the extra mile and fried the tortilla chips in a separate pan so my son could enjoy them. While most Mexican restaurants offer gluten-free tortilla chips, they're not always prepared safely."

"Let me start off by saying that it is highly recommended to not go during rush hour if you are on a time schedule. Time waited to sit 3 was 10 minutes (not bad , but time waited to get our orders was around 15 minutes. Service is very abrupt due to the very busy environment. Definitely not enough servers. One of our guests ordered their food without cheese and they left the cheese off all the meals (kind of funny . Food was decent for being Tex Mex. I had the Chicken Flautas, but would've been better with Cheese. My other guests enjoyed their meals. I would go again at a different time to see if Service would be better. The restaurant sits at the bottom of the Chase Bank Bldg downtown Houston so it primarily serves the Bldg and surrounding customers. Recommend :"

"We recently had Boss Hog come and do an on-site catering for a company event at our office. Everything was wonderful! Mark was very easy to work with and straight forward in the process. He was willing to answer every question we had for him in a timely manner.The food was a big hit! We have some harsh critics, Simon Cowell types, that are not very easily impressed. I had all of them come up to me and tell me they have never had pulled pork THAT good. It was extremely well seasoned and cooked to perfection.The rest of the food was equally amazing and left everyone stuffed and ready for a nap!! The sides can easily be overlooked at barbeque restaurants, but there were no weak links in these guys' menu. We had the cornbread, mac and cheese, country green beans, and coleslaw.If you are looking for catering options that will wow your guests, Boss Hog will do the trick! Consider having them cook on-site for your event for a unique experience.The guys showed me pictures of some of what they have to offer in-store which is a wider range of meals and sandwiches that were absolutely ridiculous in a good way.
