"Herb and Beet is a hidden gem. It's easy to miss this place when driving along Sawdust Road- but this restaurant has received high ratings among Houston and local food critics alike! I had never considered salad a comfort food until eating here. The in-house smoked chicken and bacon that topped my cobb salad combined with the creamy smashed avocado and dressing mixed in was nothing short of sublime. I have visited a handful of times since discovering this restaurant-and each time was impressed with the food and service. They have smoked meat plates with sides for those who are not the salad- eating type. On my recent visit, is discovered they now have a happy hour from 3-6pm with drink and food specials. Planning my next trip now!"

"This place has very pleasantly surprised us several times in a row now .. Had a NY Strip, the kind of steak that if you put steak Sauce on it , you are insulting the Steak and the Chef .. Well I finally had such a steak here in NJ ..the Spices were on point , done to perfection .. And most recently we had a Porterhouse , with a couple sides , the Wife and I shared it . Again perfectly done . You go here , you go for steak , NOT 20 different Combos with this and that and country music bla bla .. Just give me a quality Steak , perfectly seasoned and Done to my Medium Rare , and this Place delivers exactly that . the Menu is not even that Extensive , for a good reason . I will be back , frequently. ."

"First time here and it was good. Staff was very friendly. I got a filet and the temp was right and size was good, side salads were good. Most places you do not get anything on them. It had cheese, eggs , croutons, and tomatoes . We also got potato skins for an app. and those were really good. Haven't had them in a long time. Oh and the table bread was excellent. Overall, it is def. Worth a try and I didn't feel like we wasted our hard earned money. I hate when that happens. Would def. Come back again."
