"Although I no longer reside in Berkeley, I love discovering new restaurants that have taken the place of the ones I once frequented. While I was doing my laundry at Central Launderette, I decided to pick up lunch nearby. Unfortunately, Fausto's is gone, but Southside Station is a fantastic new find. I ordered a simple fried chicken sandwich combo that came with fries and a drink for $17. While the price is a bit high, it's pretty standard for Berkeley these days, and I can say it was well worth it. Fried chicken sandwiches are quite popular now, but this one really stood out thanks to its tempura-style batter, delicious brioche bun, and unique slaw. The fries were crispy and flavorful, and I appreciated the friendliness of the owner, who took a moment to ask about my day and chat with me after my meal. He also had a great selection of drinks, including Taiwan Beer, which is a rare find. I would happily return to try more items from the menu."
