"Lisa, the owner and manager, was not truthful with us. We had reserved the party room and paid a $100 deposit, but when the time came, she gave the room to a friend and left us in the main dining area for our business meeting and Christmas party. The place has become a complete disappointment since her involvement. A couple of years ago, our organization brought nearly 1,000 customers there after a fundraiser, but I can assure you that will not happen again. In the future, we will choose to support a restaurant in Knoxville instead; at least they are honest and don’t take deposits under false pretenses."

"If you believe that a large, long menu is important, you will not understand this review. The new Callahans 87. St is just the best! A smaller menu corresponds to fresh food. The best fried pimples and Swiss mushroom burgers. Burger was fresh and so cheap there was no need for spices."

"Overall it started out cool but waitress got changed midway. Order the chips and salsa but she brought chips and queso and I told her I didn’t have the chips and queso. They brought the salsa but ended up being charged for the chips and queso (which i didn’t order) and it was the a $4 difference from what I actually ordered. Also didn’t appreciate the racial slurs being sung."

"My family of four had a great experience at the restaurant this evening. We ordered a veggie burger, chicken tenders, and bacon cheese fries. The bacon was the real deal, not just bits, which was a big plus for us. However, the cheese didn’t quite meet our expectations. The veggie burger was tasty, and the chicken tenders were served hot and crispy. We loved the milkshakes and the mango Italian ice. The sweet tea was nice, but it was a bit less sweet than typical Southern sweet tea. The staff were really friendly and had a great sense of humor. The prices were very reasonable. The only downside was a slight pricing glitch that I missed before signing, resulting in an overcharge of a little over $2 for two identical items. To save time, I decided to treat it as a tip. I really appreciate supporting local and family-owned businesses, so we’ll definitely be returning!"
