"What an amazing experience I had here. Bob (which I believe to be the owner) came by to greet myself and a friend of mine, personally. Thanked us for what we do, and was just the absolute sweetest. We had the cream of chicken rice, and it was the best by far! I've tried many places, but they're usually watery. This place has an amazing cream of chicken rice soup! Very flavorful, creamy, and their bread was very fresh and soft. This is 1000% a must try, I will be back with my family."

"The food is always served hot and fresh. The service is always prompt, attentive, and friendly. My favorite dishes are: hot turkey open face sandwich which is served with delicious mashed potatoes and gravy, the big man which is a breakfast that fills even the hungriest of my appetites, and any of their soups. There is nothing finer on a sunny morning than eating on their clean outdoor patio which is also dog friendly. It's worth a trip no matter where you are in the city. If there is only one place you go to for breakfast in Chicago make it The Alps."

"I have been going to Mangia for years. And it used to be quite good. Recently, however, the food has been slipping and the sandwiches have been getting skimpier. Today I decided to give them another shot. What a mistake. I put in an order for five sandwiches. After seeing people come and go, I asked three times where my order was. I was told it was coming. Finally after waiting 30 mins, I asked again, and was told not to worry, they are just about to start it. Needless to say I left without anything. There was no heartfelt apologies. Sad, but there are plenty of other places in town."
