"After visiting Henry Cowell Redwoods, I stumbled the Cremer House. After 3 days in the Santa Cruz area and tons of recommendations to other places that proved to be moderate and expensive, we decided why not check it out. I am not happy with this choice!! We sat on a big little table for two. The bar was shaking and yet the place was not excessively loud. I could talk to my husband. I couldn't decide between the Cremer Burger or the fish and chip basket. The server said I couldn't go wrong either. Our server, Jenny, by the way, was fantastic! She was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Cremer Burger and it was fantastic. I can't remember a time when I had a more tasty burger, the beef was cooked medium and had just so much taste. I chose a lateral spring salad instead of fries and that was fabulous!! Finally a great dinner on my trip!! I was so happy! So we decided to go back next night. This time I had the fish and chips basket. They were great, better than anyone I found on the dock, and I love that they used cod as a fish, because I'm not a big fan of halibut. Personally I wasn't for the tart sauce (which is an interesting turn, but I'm kind of a traditional one when it comes to my tart sauce, so it's not her, it's me) but I tried the ranch, I have my incredibly tasty pommes in and wouldn't know the ranch goes well with the fish. You are Ranch Dressing is amazing! And we decided to finish our evening by sharing a pot of Decaf and embroidering the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Perfection!!! Extras: •We had dinner both nights at 5:30 a.m., which seemed to be a little in the place. •There are parking spaces behind the restaurant and it is shared with a grocery store, so we had no problem finding a place. • The bathrooms were spacious and clean!! (I find this a rare event in most restaurants) •You also have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar with a lot on tap."
