"Atmosphere was nice...cozy, quaint. Server was attentive, polite, cheerful and our food was delivered in a timely manner. On their website, they boast a very impressive family history and 'commitment to excellence ' but we left extremely disappointed with the quality of food. We spent nearly $100 on four people without beverages and walked away frustrated. Bread placed on the table looked and tasted as if it was from the bread isle of a grocery store. If you 're going to serve bread as a starter, it should be impressive, not an obligatory gesture (I 've had bread at chain restaurants that put this restaurant 's to shame). Appetizer of pulled pork nachos was tasty, but not generously portioned. I tasted my husband 's spinach and cheese calzone and we both agreed it was somewhat flavorless. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan with a side of risotto...the eggplant was thick and extremely rubbery (I could barely cut it), and the risotto tasted like it came from a box. As for our friends ' they never overtly complimented their food and only ate about half. The only thing I really enjoyed from my dinner was my side Caesar salad. Because we were with company, I didn 't want to make a fuss over my dinner, but I was disappointed I wasn 't asked if something was wrong with my meal seeing I left 3/4 of it on my plate and said 'no thank you ' to a box. It 's too bad...it 's a charming place with great atmosphere and friendly staff, but much of the food was simply awful. Perhaps instead of having such an extensive menu and poorly executed food, they should pare down their offerings and excel at those dishes."

"I recently ordered takeout from this neighborhood restaurant. The ordering process over the phone was much smoother compared to Fireworks nearby, who often don't answer when they're busy. The person taking my order was professional. The cauliflower crust wasn't bad in terms of taste, but the toppings were a bit sparse, so I wasn't too impressed with the pizza. I also ordered 10 wings, which were good and had the mild buffalo flavor I requested. However, only 2 out of the 10 wings were drumsticks."

"We love this place and visit them weekly if not more. They have become family to us in Port, and go out of their way to make us feel welcome and well fed. The food is incredible and they'll make anything just the way that you like it. I know all of the names of the great people that work there, and they know mine. They treat my little son like he's the king of the universe high fives, first pumps, showing him how they make pizza, cutting up his pizza and bringing it at just the right temperature, taking care of his stroller... The list goes on and on. Just a few weeks ago my wife was picking up a few pies for guys doing construction at our house. When they saw my wife trying to navigate a few pies and a stroller, they walked back to the house with her, carrying the pies for her. Catered from them a few times and order in often. First class people and first class food. One of my favorite parts of this great town."

"We wanted to take family out for a special dinner and Isabella's did not disappoint! We had wonderful cocktails and a great beer selection. We shared a massive plate of calamari, which was too much for four people, but was quite good. Our group had steaks, scallops and pasta. The potatoes with cheese and bacon served with the ribeye was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten! The tomato basil pasta (that's not exact, but it was the first pasta dish, I believe) was the least impressive, which surprised me for an Italian y restaurant. It was fine, but a little dry not much sauce for a lot of pasta. And no cheese. Everything else was amazing. The very best part was our service Ruthie is a great ambassador for Isabella's. She's friendly, helpful and attentive without hovering. She made great suggestions! We'll definitely be back."

"Wasn't here at the age and it's so much better than I remember! We ordered the Merry Prankster and while it is not your traditional pizza, it was phenomenal! The way they allow their dough to heat the pizza great without getting stone hard. We also ordered cheese bread and wedge salad. The cheese bread was great, the cheese tasted fresh and the bread quality used was great. The wedge salad was at best moderate. They apply a whole wedge which would be expected from a wedge salad, but in reality it is only half. In addition, the marinated tomatoes they add are exaggerated and taken away from the wedgey salad flavor."

"Wow, I have to say I am not surprised often by a restaurant, but they did it here! We had looked into going to another pizza place but the wait was too long on open table. We live in Rockwall, about 30 minutes away and wanting good Pizza. So, we jumped in the car, made a reservation over the phone and away we went When we arrived we were impressed with the layout, the mood, and the all around atmosphere of the location. We were seated fairly quickly and had a server named Dillon that sat us. There was live music, that played some great music and I could not help myself and found myself belting out a few lines on occasion. They have a great selection of beer and spirits and I had an Old Fashioned made with Buffalo Trace. Dillon recommended I try out one of his favorites, and it was sweater than my old fashioned and left a syrup feeling on my lips. Not my cup of tea but still not terrible. The pizza was fantastic, like, next level good. We ordered the smoke house BBQ pizza and the Pinky Pig. Have to say, both were something that I will be ordering again. We started with the cheese bread, it wasn't anything special really, just some french bread with melted cheese and we opted to have the salmi adde for $2 more. Good, but not worth the $10, would have rather paid an extra couple bucks for anther pie. We had a salad, but I forgot the name. We will be back for sure. The pricing is in the neighborhood of 15% higher than it should be for everything across the board from drinks to pies. Many places are not taking into account that when you charge these rates, when a customer comes in, we know we need need to add at least 30% to account for the tax and tip. I would have had a 3rd drink, but at $11 for an Old fashion $15+ after tax and tip) I decided to pour myself one at home that cost me $3 with a better bourbon. Stand alone with better parking and a more upscale atmosphere could justify the pricing in my eyes. I will be back, but when our bill was $150 for 2 pies, a burger, 4 drinks, appetizer and shared salad I was in a bit disbelief for a moment."

"that's really the best vegan pizza I've ever had. they have to go and tempeh as beats! I have veggies, vegan cheese, plus tempeh with jerk sauce. makes it sharp, but not too. all in all, very satisfied. my man agreed. I wish they had all the crawling, big bummer. the crust is delicious – and by the other more valuable, in any case they ask for the crust without butter or cheese. the salate was very good to fyi."

"I've heard so much about how great Mellow Mushroom is, especially since the team has been going there after the championship soccer game every year. This year, as a new member of the team, we were really looking forward to our visit. However, we were disappointed to find out that even with an entire section available, they wouldn't seat us and told us to wait an hour for the patio. There was plenty of seating inside the restaurant. When we suggested that we could sit as families and asked if there was any way to accommodate us, the manager responded in the most disrespectful tone I've ever encountered in customer service, telling us to go somewhere else. We understood that they were short-staffed, but the place wasn't busy at all. There was ample room, and we would have happily waited. The rudeness we experienced was completely unwarranted, and I will not be returning to this restaurant. I will also be sure to tell everyone I know to dine elsewhere. With customer service like this, it seems the only reason the restaurant is still in business is due to its name."

"Worst pizza we 've ever had. Ordered online and when my husband went to pick it up, the guy at the counter opened it up to show him. Pizza is burnt, looks like its missing 10% of the pizza. When my husband complained, he said normally we don 't serve food like this. No offer to remake or refund. Only the second time we ordered here. 1st time was great, this time, bad enough that we won 't be trying them a third time."

"Food was cold. Service was slow. Waitress either had a severe case of RBF or was in a truly foul mood. I’ve been to other locations with good food and service so I’m not sure why this one is so terrible. I also left my phone on the table on accident. I went back about an hour later to try to find it and the seating hostess kept lying about what happened when it was found. My husband had to threaten the manager to call the police to report the imei number as stolen since the phone was turned off even though it was charged 50% when I left it. Manager reviewed the tapes and saw seating hostess crumple the note on it, toss note in the trash and then hide the phone under the front desk. He searched the desk and found it in the back. Seating hostess says it was off because it fell in a mop bucket and got wet. Phone was not wet when found and turned on just fine."

"We mixed it up this time, starting out with the Mushroom Soup. I mean, let's be honest, you sort of have to, right? And while I'm a very basic guy, mushroomwise, Daisy is doing her best to enlighten me on the benefits of many wonderful foods, and some the look like chewy little UFOs. But as always, the food did not disappoint. We also ordered directly from the menu instead of our usual build your own pizza habit. We did get a pie though, the Merry Prankster, with herb and aioli based sauce, chicken, sausage, and red and green peppers, on a gluten free crust with vegan cheese for Daisy.But then, we ventured bravely into new and unknown parts of the menu, confident that our waiter Corey wouldn't let us down. He had already waved me off from a drink that sounded perfect, but was actually more tart than sweet (I have the sweet tooth of a 4 year old. Besides, I get plenty of both of those from Daisy. We chose the delicious California Club (chilled chicken, smoked bacon, roasted tomatoes and smashed avocados on a ciabatta bun which according to Corey is the best way to go even though they do have other bread options and healthy lettuce wrap choices. Daisy saved half for her lunch the next day. She forgot to take it to work with her. It didn't survive the lunching hour at home. Sorry, not sorry. I figured out the best way to make it up to Daisy. So I would like to announce that Daisy and I will be tying the knot on May 28th!! We are currently looking at ideas for wedding ring tattos and a local artist to do the work. But all in all, The Mellow Mushroom is always a great choice."

"that is a really interesting restaurant with a full bar. we went to lunch and sat in the bar. They had a few vegan options, nothing super exciting, but our bartender was vegan and gave us the creatures on what was good. we ordered a pizza and made some substitution-typical no cheese and add some vegetables. he had no vegan cheese from what I remember. the pizza was a small part for the price, but it was really good! they also had a decent selection of beers. updated from previous review on 2018-12-13"
