Mother in the law had zitronenhalibut and said it was good. vater in the law I cannot remember what he had next to his chewing gum side of the suppe. he said it wasn't so sharp. we celebrated birthday and dessert for this person was on the house. we come back. I have to look at this in my hometown salt seatown."

"Coming from Wyoming we were surprised that servers/hostess were not wearing face masks. They get very close to patrons. Food was excellent and good value. Our waitress was excellent- Elena? Overall good experience during these strange times, but I would not go back unless their policies for COVID Safety improve to make us feel safe."

"We had dinner here at 6:00 on the first Friday of Lent. Party of six and not very many people at all in the restaurant. We did not get a waiter to our table for thirty minutes. Then four of us ordered water as our drink only two of us received the water until the meal showed up at the table. The appetizers came out the same time as the meal so obviously not ideal and all sorts of things cold and messed up. One person never received the baked potato she ordered with her steak. Two of the three steaks extremely tough. Never had this type of issues before at this restaurant. I assume it was a bad night. Manager came over and got a drink for four of the six of us early on when realized what all was going on. Not necessary but appreciate it. However, when waitress finally came back to table never refreshed anyone’s empty glasses and asked how the food was. We very clearly stated look we are not looking for anything and we realize getting the food prepared isn’t your job. But, you need to let the kitchen know this was really not up to par. Just so whoever’s supposed to be keeping an eye on it will know. Our waitress began crying and it was crazy as we did not direct anything at her personally and we did not want anything for free and we tipped we just where disappointed across the board with food and service then to top it off we left feeling horrible for giving an honest opinion. So subpar food and service we paid and tipped to leave feeling bad on top of it. The waitress said she’d been doing this for twenty-five years. I’m certain we are not the first people she has ever heard be disappointed in something. We did not yell, curse or ask for anything to be paid for by anyone other than us. There was no reason for us to have food and service like that and leave feeling bad. We probably will not be visiting this restaurant again anytime soon."

"It is our second time in two weeks and this restaurant still has to disappoint. Two different servers were both knowledgeable and created an entertaining atmosphere. The food has always been fantastic and her carrots soufflé has made me think carrots again. Just a great time with good food and great service."

"We have been to this chop house several times and this by far was our worst experience thus far. I ordered the 6oz filet medium rare, although it was cooked correctly it was one of the worst filets I have ever had. It had no flavor and the texture was not that of a filet. My daughter had the chicken Marsala and it had absolutely no flavor. Even adding salt did not help. Our waitress was very attentive, but the kitchen was having a hard time keeping up with the customers. We waited for quite a while before we even got our food. It also seemed like the runners had no idea what tables to take food to. Several times they came to tables in our section with the incorrect food. I honestly have to say I don’t know that I will be back. There are other restaurants in Cheyenne that have better quality food for a comparable price."

"Food and service were great. Best steaks around, cant beat the hot plates, quality of food, and service! Only disappointment was that we requested outdoor seating but it was closed although two tables were occupied. This is fine, but before we even got our drinks another couple was then seated outside after they walked to their table then asked to be outside. Weird they were able but we were not in a span of about 3 minutes. Nothing outside had changed during this time."

"I went with my family and they were polite but I felt like they would prefer if there was no young ones, age range was 6 to 15. They did have a kids menu of 4 or 5 items and all came in a little paper classic car. Kids menu is only up to age 10 so my small 11 year old ate from the adult menu, he wasn 't able to finish half of his food. I had a 7 oz steak that was cooked to a perfect medium rare and sautéed spinach that was cold. My husband got the half rack of ribs and he said they were dry even slathered with sauce as they were. My kids all thought the food was good. On service it was fair, our drinks ran empty and sat there for several minutes before our server refilled them. It was not that busy and from my experience they had more then enough server to cover the little amount of tables. I really like the one in Billings, MT but this one was nothing compared to them. For the price you spend I expect better service and not cold food to boot. I really don 't like giving anything below 4 stars but this was a 3 star. I hope it was that they were just off that day."

"Ive enjoyed the cedar planked salmon, its a bit dry needs more butter during cooking. The chicken strips hold place as far as im convcerned no others even compare. The fish n chips was nice to see, Way to much batter in the fish but the quality of the meat was excellent. Im a power lifter and when i have ny cheat day i like to eat good food both for flavor and quality. And overall i would say thay few can compete with chop house"

"It’s okay. I feel the dining room is a little bit like a cafeteria. We went for dinner before a Jazz game. Location couldn’t be better for that. Unfortunately that’s the best thing going for it. We started with the fried green tomatoes. They must have a stack of them back in the kitchen because it came out 2 minutes after our order. And they were not hot. Flavor was okay. I lived in New Orleans and they don’t even come close to anything in the south. The waiter Alberto was nice. He had not been trained on how to open a wine bottle. He kept trying but ultimately broke the cork. We brought our own bottle that was expensive and old. Luckily he finally let my husband finish opening to avoid getting any more cork in the wine and ruining it. The steaks, New York strip and Ribeye, were good. They were served hot and had good flavor. The baked potato that came as a side was pretty much awful. Cold. Nobody wants to eat a cold baked potato. Crème brûlée was okay. Overall a 3 star evening. I don’t think I’ll return. The atmosphere is not intimate. The staff seems untrained. And they need to up the food preparation. I keep trying new restaurants in SLC hoping to be wowed. The last few places I’ve tried have definitely fallen short or any wow. I’ll keep trying ..."

I called and spoke with a manager, she talked in circles, said that this happens n it autocorrects by the next day .. the reality was I was overcharged and no one took accountability.. mistakes happen... this has never happened at Firerock or JS Pub .. I want be back .."
