"Our drinks took about 10 minutes to arrive, followed by a side salad after 15 minutes. The garlic parmesan wings came out after around 25 minutes; they were essentially fried chicken topped with powdered garlic and parmesan. Not impressive. We still hadn’t received the onion rings, so we asked a passing staff member about the delay. She mentioned it was a shift change, but another 10 minutes went by with no sign of our order.
By the time the onion rings finally arrived, we were ready to leave. Our server, Carly M, was hardly present. She eventually brought the onion rings in a to-go box and tossed them onto the table, saying they were complimentary. Then she hurried off, leaving us to settle the bill at the bar.
Just as we got into our car, an employee came running out, saying it seemed we hadn’t paid because our server couldn’t find the tab. Seriously? If she had been more attentive, she would have realized we had already paid. Also, the same employee who approached us had been at a nearby table chatting away with someone, completely oblivious to the situation.
Overall, we won't be returning to Mr. Chubby's."
