"This place is not too bad. I'd have given it five stars, as they've figured out that melted cheese is good, but after trying their tomato based sauces, I'm not convinced the chef knows what a marinara base is supposed to taste like. It's overcooked and the tomatoes are bland. The soffritto is out of balance. It's just too dry and thick for a sauce. Somebody's Nonna is out there biting her nails after having tried this sauce, but I mean, look, it's good food, and it's real hard to mess up a red sauce too bad. It's good. It's just not great until they fix the sauce. Use less soffritto, use better tomatoes, and for god's sake leave some water, we're building a pizza not laying bricks. A little fresh basil would be nice. No cheese in the sauce. Those are my thoughts anyway."
