"Main Street Bistro is the place to go for breakfast in New Paltz and apparently everyone thinks so, because there is always a long wait to be seated. And if you have a party of six, as we did yesterday, you can expect to wait outside for a good 45-50 minutes! It's well worth the wait, though. The food is great, and the coffee is excellent strong and full-bodied, the way a good cup of coffee should be (soy milk is available). The menu is varied, creative, and extremely vegetarian friendly; they even offer veggie bacon and sausage. Vegan selections are very limited, but there are a few on the menu... and I'd be willing to bet that they would substitute tofu scramble for eggs in many of their dishes, if asked nicely. This was my second visit to Main Street Bistro. On my first visit, I had a Frittata Skillet from their specials board; if memory serves me, it was two eggs scrambled with some sort of veggies, served in a little skillet on a bed of home fries, and topped with melted cheddar and jack cheeses. It was a year ago, so the specifics are hazy but I do remember enjoying it thoroughly. Yesterday I decided on the Veggie Benedict two poached eggs, sautéed spinach and tomatoes, and cheddar cheese, sitting atop a toasted English muffin, and topped with hollandaise. The eggs were perfectly poached, with the yolks just barely runny, and the accompanying home fries were nice and crispy. My only complaint about the dish is that the English muffin could have been toastier; other than that, it was superb. The two other vegetarians in our party each ordered the Breakfast Club Sandwich a hulking triple-decker thing on 12-grain bread, which consists of scrambled eggs, pesto, sprouts, red onion, tomato, avocado, and muenster cheese, also served with home fries. Neither of their sandwiches were served with the avocado on it, though, which was hugely disappointing. Still tasty, but when you're looking forward to avocado and the avocado isn't there... sadness ensues. (In defense of the Bistro, neither party bothered to complain about the missing avocado, so the restaurant wasn't given the opportunity to make good on it Our omnivorous friends enjoyed their meals, as well; this is a great place to go when you're with a mixed crowd All in all, this place serves a tasty, memorable breakfast. When I next return to New Paltz, I will definitely wait outside for as long as it takes to eat here again."

"**Location:** The hotel is conveniently situated in downtown Mobile, making it easy for us to walk to various restaurants and bars nearby. **Parking:** Valet parking is offered, but we opted for self-parking, which included in-and-out privileges. The parking garage is connected to the hotel. The only drawback was that not all elevators were operational, requiring us to walk a bit further and go down a couple of ramps to access the hotel. **Room/Amenities:** The room was excellent—no complaints at all! It included a mini-fridge and a coffee maker. While microwaves aren't provided in the room, they can be requested on a first-come, first-served basis. As a regular gym-goer, I checked out the fitness center. It was decent, but I wish it offered more equipment. There were several cardio machines, a few weight training machines, a dumbbell rack, and a couple of benches. The pool area adjacent to the gym was closed for renovations, but it looks promising for relaxation once the work is complete. **Food:** On the lobby level, there's a small market/café that serves coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. They also offer grab-and-go options like salads and cold sandwiches. I tried an egg white breakfast sandwich that was quite tasty, although I wished there were more choices available. The on-site restaurant, Fathoms, is located near the check-in area. We decided to stop there for a bite after enjoying drinks at a nearby bar, and I ordered one of the flatbreads, which was absolutely delicious!"
