"Low humidity, cool breeze from the north, too tempting to stay away from Slow Low and so we went. Had a great dinner on the patio in the afternoon breeze: Ribeye steak with garlic mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked and the Colossal Brisket sandwich on Texas garlic toast. We were stuffed silly! Thank you Kayla for outstanding service. We will be back! A little too hot to sit outside today, so we did carry out. OMG, my wife and I split the 1lb Brisket along with a dozen corn bread muffins and it was so good I wanted to cry... We finally decided to return here now that they have outdoor seating and were pleasantly surprised. Of course we are not big fans of barbecue, so along with our drinks we ordered BURNT ENDS and POTATO SKINS from the 'Bites ' menu, along with 6 pc. Cornbread Muffins. The Burnt Ends were as incredible as described (barbecue meat candy), the mini Cornbread Muffins were just right and the Potato Skins were okay (sorry, we compare all potato skins to the ones we used to get at Ashleys in Rockledge, and no one has still ever come close). Of course the service (Ben) was impeccable and the prices were downright affordable. My wife and I managed to fill up on what we ordered, with leftovers. We will definitely return here again, but when there is more of a wind than a breeze, as the outdoor seating is bordered by hedges which provide shelter for a variety of biting bugs which come out when the breeze dies (hence the 4-stars). But all things considered, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to a 5-star visit on a breezier day when we will try the BBQ Brisket Sandwich and the Ribeye Steak, since the Burnt Ends were so very yummy!"

"While passing through Richmond we were looking for a good barbecue place. This one didn't have reviews, but their other location had rave reviews. So, we decided to give it a try. It was everything the other reviews said about the other place- the food was amazing, the staff and service were wonderful, and the food came out fast. I had the brisket on a sandwich with slaw, AMAZING. The options for sauce were great and meet the needs of varying barbecue fans (sweet, spicy, vinegary). The jalapeño Mac and cheese was good (I don't think the Mac and cheese was much to write about it wasn't particularly great or bad, but the jalapeño was nice in it). The sweet potatoes were nicely done, sweet and flavorful without being overloaded with sugar and butter. My boyfriend had a pulled pork sandwich with slaw- AMAZING. We loved the slaw too, by itself it's very yummy and satisfying, on the sandwich it's a good combination. We took some cornbread to go. It was torture riding home without eating a piece. The butter blend they make is a nice sweet twist too. I would have given it a full 5, but it was hot as hell outside, and the climate control made very little improvement inside. I used the bathroom, it was clean, but there's very little room in there, combined with the unbearable heat, every second in the bathroom it seemed to get hotter. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and when passing through or visiting Richmond, we will be stopping here again."
