"This was my second visit to Syrup. It's close to my church, so it makes a great place to stop for brunch after services. The restaurant is located across from City Park, so if you choose to eat on their patio, you have a great view of the park. Both times I ate here the waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. The first time I went, I mentioned to my waiter that I wanted something that wasn't on the menu and he immediately directed me to an option that I could customize to get just what I wanted (eggs, pancakes, and crack bacon). The second time I went in I ordered blueberry pancakes and the crack bacon. The crack bacon is heavenly and I highly recommend it! It has pepper and sugar on thick cut slices. Fantastic! I'll keep going back just for the bacon! Both times I went in my servers were very attentive, even though the restaurant was very busy. Definitely a great place to go.Parking: The restaurant has a small parking lot immediately south of the building. There are a few spaces for people with disabilities and a couple space for people who are picking up food. The rest of the spaces are open for everyone. If the restaurant is really busy, you may need to find street parking. There is no street parking directly in front of the restaurant. On my first visit I parked on the other side of the block and walked, which wasn't too far."
