"It also took an unreasonably long time for them to prepare our two bagels, forcing us to wait on the crowded sidewalk. Thankfully, the bagels were made well, with generous portions of lox, so we left somewhat satisfied despite the hassle.
Fast forward to today, we decided to give it another shot, hoping for a better experience and ordering ahead online. When I placed the order, the estimated preparation time was 10-15 minutes, but we didn’t get the confirmation that our order was ready until 35 minutes later. Not the end of the world, we picked it up and headed home.
However, when we opened the bagels, they were rock hard, burnt, and each only had a single piece of salmon— a complete turnaround from our first experience. Surprised, I reached out via the help inquiry option in my email confirmation to explain the issue with the quality. The response from the General Manager was unhelpful and rude; he insisted that they make their bagels consistently and that all portions are pre-measured, adding that they would offer me a complimentary lox and bagel for my next visit. However, I don’t think it’s worth it—I won’t be returning. With so many other places in the area for lox and bagels, I’d rather avoid the risk of damaging a tooth just trying to have breakfast."
