"always eat well, but service bad. was on a table outside under a heating that does not work. they said they would turn it on, but never. I had to go to find the person who wanted to do it to find out that it was said it didn't work. we moved to a table in the bar from the cold, but their server helped several tables that sat after us before they came to our table. when we finally got over them, they refused to take something, but our drinks orders and then did not return for our orders for 15 minutes. they delivered our main course before our salates and had to ask for articles that were missing from our main course boards. While I thought it was over when we were gone, I woke up that they complained for opentable that we never showed up on our reservation. everyone has bad days and hopefully I catch them on their because I plan to get back to this great place and location."

"This charming and unpretentious restaurant serves meals promptly and with impeccable timing. It is definitely worth the drive out. While the restaurant may not be the best choice for vegetarian diners, there are options available. Free parking is available on the side street, with room for approximately 6 cars, but there is no parking allowed in front of the building. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. Overall, the service is dine-in only."

"We visited the Inn last Friday evening at 5:30 with eight in our party. These are very discerning and well traveled relatives. We have traveled to many various states and have had many very good meals. My wife and I have been to the Inn on two previous occasions and were very pleased with each experience. I was slightly anxious that all eight people would be as pleased as my wife and me.To make a long story short, all eight of us were extremely pleased with the whole experience. Everyone raved about the level of quality of the food, the beautiful interior and exterior of the Inn, and the location on the river as well as the outdoor patio area.To be sure, the name Meredith Inn will be well spoken of from Mercer, Pa, Butler, Pa, and throughout Western North Carolina.Thanks again for a GREAT dining experience."
