"Service was excellent; including hostess, wait staff manager. The calamari appetizer was terrible not edible extremely greasy, batter quite thick, tempura like over cooked. The waiter was apologetic, offered other appetizer options, which we declined then immediately took it back to the kitchen. Mananger came over also apologized; said she’d take it up with kitchen staff removed it from our final bill. Dinner food that was ordered delicious! We were asked to please make a dessert selection that would be complimentary; also tasty! All the staff could not have been more accommodating! We will definitely go back again to North Italia at Perimeter."

"My boyfriend I came with a reservation for outdoor seating. We were seated right away, the hostess was super sweet. Outdoor seating was great! I was afraid I would be chilly, but I wasn’t. Our table was a two-seater that I found intimate somewhat romantic. Our server (I believe her name was Taylor) was quick, I loved that they light the candle only when there are guests there at the table. I ordered the calamari spaghetti with meatballs. My boyfriend ordered the spicy salami pizza. We both ordered some drinks. Everything came out within 10-15 minutes. Everything was super delicious! Unfortunately, a little bug flew into my drink. Understandable; I was outside. I ordered a new drink, but I was a bit worried I would be charged for two drinks. I did not want to ask, but they only charged us for the one drink. Super nice of them! My boyfriend I also work at a restaurant, one of our chefs recommended North Italia. We really wanted to try it, the service food exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful date night! 😁"

"Covid forces outdoor eating which is difficult for all but North does a worse job than the local competition — weak heat lamps spaced too far left us cold — and the staff which was super nice wasn’t actually able to help with them.The portions of some items seem to have been reduced, which was especially noticeable with the truffle cheese bread appetizer. The portions seem to be about a third of what they sued to be. Times are tough and we appreciate restaurants trying to stay alive, but this appetizer is mostly bread. Don’t stiff customers — who’ve come out to sit on in the street by crash barriers — by skimping on something like this. Some of the other entrees seems to have slipped"

"I order the seasonal sweet salad with salmon the most time I visit. the salat was extra small, with little sweet compared to normal. I would be very annoyed if I had to pay for the meal as shown, but, was treated and therefore nothing was said. not quite sure!"

"Our server, Abel, was very attentive. I strayed away from my normal chicken Parmesan and had the absolutely delicious Ricotta Cavatelli which is going to be my go to favorite here now. It had just the right amount of shrimp and crab and had such wonderful flavors. I asked them to leave out the peperoncino and go easy on the salt and it came out just like I asked. We were celebrating a special occasion but didn’t want anything too heavy so the server was kind enough to bring us some fruit with a candle. Other dishes ordered were just perfect as well."

"After waiting for quite some time to place our order, we decided to order two appetizers and drinks to avoid delaying our dinner further. It took another 5 to 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and one of our appetizers, the calamari, came out about 10 minutes later. The truffle cheese bread took almost 15 minutes longer to arrive, as it was mistakenly given to the table beside us. Our main entrées finally came out about 15 minutes after that, and they tasted great as always. The main issue of the evening was the poor service and long wait. From the time we were seated at 4:50 PM, it took us 2 hours to finish our meal, which has never happened when we dined indoors. I don’t think we will opt for seating outside again!"

"We were celebrating my father's 70th birthday hoping for a good time. Our reservation was at 5pm intentionally early because we had our toddler with us. We start off on the wrong foot because our server misinterpreted my inquiries regarding an appetizer and thought I placed the order. He appeared annoyed when we told him we didn't in fact order it. From that moment, his attention and care to us was gone. We waited for our food for over an hour without any acknowledgment of the situation from his part or any attempt from him to at least put us at ease by keeping us in the loop regarding the delay. We had to ask what the issue was and to at least bring us part of our order for our little one to eat. He did bring back a cold burnt cheese pizza. We finally received our food which was all cold. At the end we had to wait longer because he actually charged us an extra appetizer. Two hours later we left pretty deflated with a bad taste in our mouth and I'm not talking about the food which I'm sure had it been hot would've been delicious. Not the experience any of us were hoping for."

"We were quite disappointed with our experience. We were eager to try this place because it looked inviting at first glance, with a spacious room and a nice large glass-windowed kitchen. Making a reservation through OpenTable was easy, and the spicy Bloody Mary was excellent, as was our server. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't live up to our expectations. The grilled bread appetizer was flavorful, but most of the bread was so tough that it was nearly impossible to bite through. The Bolognese was dry and bland, making it an unpleasant dish to eat. My breakfast carbonara lacked any flavor whatsoever. We both tried to improve the meal with salt and pepper, but it didn’t help much. We were also surprised by the attire of the host staff during brunch; mini skirts seemed a bit out of place for a morning setting. Overall, it felt too early for such club-like aesthetics."

"I made reservations for a party of 6 and we came on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM and was seated right away. The host did not look pleasant nor happy to see us. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a huge open space. Our problem began andended with our waiter, L. Forgot his name (irrelevant anyways as he forgot about us the entire time) but remembered his entireappearance, demeanor, and customer service skills. He has a scruffy beard and was wearing denim with dark pants from head totoe. He ran through the specials in a monotone voice as if he was telling us to leave while we still had the chance. Drinks wereordered and the $13 glazed Italian donut French toast came out in fifteen minutes. He said he would get us plates, forgot, andanother waitress got us plates ten minutes later, which by the time that happened, the food was cold. We ordered our foodwhich came in thirty minutes. Fine, whatever, it was busy. Our group rated the food 7/10 as the chicken parm was delicious.However, the parmesan rigatoni was cold and bland. Every time we asked for a refill, or a bag, or the check, our lovely waiterwould make one round around the whole restaurant, talk to people, stop for ten minutes to watch football, make eye contact withme and walk away. Our favorite part was when he was ringing us up, stopped to watch football, get a bag, watch football, ring usup, repeatedly turn his head back to watch football and we eventually got to leave. If we needed something, it took at least tenminutes to get his short attention span going. No one looks happy to be there, so why should we? We still tipped 20% regardlessas it is still a service however none of us will be returning nor recommending people there. Why even bother coming to wastetime and not even enjoy ourselves? Minus four stars for the customer service, wait time, and saving the best for last ourlovely waiter, L."

"I was excited to return here for brunch after having an amazing experience several months ago. Our server was great, but for the first time ever in my life, I (and someone else in my group had to send back food because it was cold. We 've all obviously been places in the past where maybe the food wasn 't as hot as we 'd like, but never to the point of it being an issue. Unfortunately though, the food some of us received at North Italia was quite literally COLD. The eggs on my beef tenderloin eggs platter, my friend 's pasta dish, and all 3 orders of side potatoes at the table were not just not hot , but cold. I suspect these dishes were finished way early and left sitting on the line while our friend 's shrimp dish was being finished (which came out hot and delicious! . There obviously was not a heat lamp or any other effort to keep these warm. It was a shame because the food is typically really good! My new eggs came hot, but my friend 's pasta was taken back and brought to her still cold, and the new potatoes brought still felt as if they 'd been fried an hour+ before. Manager who brought the new food never actually identified himself as the manager, asked how things were, or offered any apologies, which was odd, but our server did profusely apologize even though we assured him we knew it wasn 't his fault."

"If you want to avoid long wait times at Kemah on busy days, head to the first floor of Joe's Crab Shack. Today, we tried to dine at Kemah, but all the restaurants had a two-hour wait, including Landry’s, the steakhouse, Bubba Gump, and even Joe's Crab Shack. However, on the first floor of Joe's Crab Shack, there is no waiting list—you just walk in, find a table, and place your order. Their menu includes burgers, chicken and fish sandwiches, fries, frozen margaritas, beer, and milkshakes. While the selection isn't extensive, you won't have to wait. Plus, the view by the pier is fantastic; you can watch many boats pass by while enjoying some music. I highly recommend it!"

"We received a warm welcome from the host, who promptly showed us to our reserved table. While we waited for our cousins, we decided to enjoy some delicious drinks at the bar. Water was offered to us immediately, but I had to ask for the menu. The staff was friendly, and I absolutely loved the bar! Each appetizer was better than the last. The presentation was beautiful; our server brought out rectangular plates and serving spoons for the incredibly good carpaccio, burrata, meatballs, and kale salad. The truffle garlic bread disappeared in no time—it was that good! We also ordered the crispy eggplant appetizer as one of our entrees, and it was fabulous, especially alongside our usual rigatoni vodka. A nice bottle of wine and perfect bomboloni for dessert rounded off the meal wonderfully. I'm so glad we brought our visitors here first. XOXO!"

"We had made reservations for dinner service and were initially greeted by the kind gentlemen and seated promptly. It was not too packed on a Saturday night, even with a concert in town. It took 15 mins until we were greeted by wait staff. When we finally were greeted by our waitress, you could tell she 100% did not want to be there. Not so much as a “welcome!”, more of a “what do you want” flat affect. We jumped right in and ordered drinks from the bar to start; however, she took our water cups without even asking or just assuming we wanted water. I’d think water would be standard? After ordering, we sat there for another 15 mins waiting for our bar drinks to be delivered, from a bar with 2 small parties. Two out of three of our guests drinks were delivered; our friend overheard the bartender tell the waitress that she frankly forgot to make it. After ordering, our food was delivered quickly. The impossible burger was good, nothing special. Not because of impossible burgers fault, the burger toppings were just uninspiring. Food was delivered by another staff member with another “get me the hell out of here” attitude. I passed her looking for the restroom and even stated “excuse me” to her; she didn’t even bat an eye. I’d go somewhere else. This was almost $100. I only reserved this place due to the short time I had to find a table before a concert. Just skip this if you value great, quality service. This is just below average on a good day."

"Beautiful restaurant with an open concept, spacious dinning area, long accessible bar and open kitchen. The dinning experience was delightful from start to finish. Wait staff were very knowledgeable of the menu and helpful with recommendations. We started with the Crispy Calamari, Italian Meatballs, and White Truffle Garlic Bread. All were fantastic but in particular the garlic bread was perfect and highly recommend pairing with the meatballs. For our mains wewent with the Prosciutto and the Pig pizzas. Both were perfectly prepared and featured great flavor profiles. We finished out the meal with the Bombolini and Italian Butter Cake with both had fresh clean flavors. Great selection ofcocktails along with a solid wine selection. Very much enjoyed and will be happy to dine here again."

"We were left waiting for over 15 minutes to be seated as two different hostesses walked past us without acknowledging us. Eventually, we seated ourselves but after waiting an additional 8 minutes with only four other customers in the restaurant, we decided to leave. As someone in customer service myself, I know the importance of a simple greeting in providing good customer service. Running a business in a small town relies heavily on word of mouth, and unfortunately, this was the second disappointing experience we had at this restaurant."
