"During our trip along the Fitzhugh strip, we visited three similar establishments, and this one was by far our favorite. Everything tasted incredibly fresh! I wish the weather had been a bit cooler so we could have enjoyed the outdoor seating. We also noticed a setup for live music, which we assume happens at night, adding to the great atmosphere. The BBQ sauce here was the most unique and flavorful we tried during our visit—an intriguing blend of peppery, sweet, and tangy. The drinks were also great, and the tortilla chips were outstanding. The queso was the best we had (just a tip: if you prefer it less spicy, ask for it without the green sauce). My friends raved about the tacos, claiming they were the best they had tasted, although I didn’t try them myself. The guacamole was fresh and had a lovely lime flavor, and the strawberry dessert was a delightful treat on a hot day. A quick note: while beer flights are still listed on the menu, they no longer offer them, so keep that in mind if that’s what you’re looking for. Also, the Lady Bird soda contains an artificial sweetener, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. We had never heard of it before, so we would have chosen something else had we known. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely return if I'm in the area again. As for kid-friendliness, there weren't many options on the menu for kids—just the usual mac and cheese, quesadilla, and chips. Our child did enjoy dessert, but we found it generally hard to find kid-friendly options in Texas. Parking tip: If you can, try to park in the shade! Our car was scorching hot, and I ended up burning my hand on the door handle. The Texas heat is no joke!"

"I accidentally ordered online to the wrong Villa Grande. After showing up the the Butler location to pick up my food, is when I realized this but the owner told me no worries, just to call and explain the situation and this location would refund me, no problem. The first call, a man answered who told me he would cancel the order and refund me. I called a second time, when to expect a refund, and a girl answered the phone, who explained to me I had to call the “Slice” app, who is their third party online ordering (she was actually helpful). So I call Slice, they tell me they have to call the restaurant for authorization, all to be told no, they wouldn’t refund my cancellation since my food was already made. So, I call the restaurant for the third time confused why I was told I could be refunded three times now, all to just be told I wouldn’t. The same man answered when I called the first time and told me he wasn’t the one who spoke to the gentleman for authorization to refund me. I asked him to please figure out the situation for me. After waiting on hold, he came back on just to tell me that the boss said I would not be refunded because they had already made my food. I understand it was my mistake, but after being told multiple times from multiple different people I would get refunded, just to not, it was disappointing. And coming from restaurant experience, I know they most likely let one of their employees eat or take the food home, so it’s not like it went to waste. The customer service is poor from management and the staff lacks communication."

"I understand that the restaurant may be short-staffed, but our experience was disappointing. We were told there would be a delay when we arrived, and after finally being seated in the basement dining room, we had to ask for water and menus after waiting for 25 minutes. Our order took a long time to arrive, and when we inquired about it, we were treated rudely and told the kitchen was far behind. When our food did arrive, the hamburger patties were cut in half. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were met with indifference and excuses about the lack of staff. We ended up spending over 2 hours and 45 minutes at the restaurant. Hopefully, with more staff, the service will improve. This was our experience that we wanted to share."

"Had dinner at the coal mountain caboose tonight. It's always a good experience. Tonight we had the pretzel, which was a home run. Not your normal straight from frozen gross twist. It was perfectly baked, buttered and salted. The cheese sauce was great too. For dinner we had a Asian chicken wrap and the Philly cheesesteak. Both were great. I had the soup as a side. It was steak, bacon and potatoes. It was clearly from scratch and well made with veggies and real meat. It was a slow night but Selene who handles the bar and tables is always positive and helpful. We have been here a few times and will come back. Thanks for a great meal."

"We got married in April 2017 and invited all of our guests (approximately 55 people to join us for appetizers, desserts, and drinks the night before the wedding at Ernie 's, a place we frequent for dinner and special occasions. We could NOT have asked for a better time on a very snowy night. The process of setting up the event was easy and the FOOD, always amazing, did not disappoint. We selected 5 appetizers, three desserts, 5 types of beer, and the (great! house red and white wines. We booked both patios and despite a late spring blizzard, were warm and cozy in there. Everyone raved about the food and drinks, particularly the tiramisu and the stromboli. The staff was fantastic, very attentive. They let us know at the beginning that there would be three 'waves ' of food to be brought out and each wave was hot, empty dishes/glasses were cleared quickly, and any requests were met with a smile. We had plenty of leftovers at the end of the night that they generously boxed up for us and we sent it to my husband 's mother 's house to feed her guests all weekend. We couldn 't have been happier with our decision to host our friends and family at our local favorite pizza place, our guests raved about the night! Thank you so much!"
