"The waitress was very friendly, but the service was slow despite there being only 3 tables in the entire restaurant. The bartender tried her best, but she was working alone and struggling to keep up. The burgers were undercooked, but they were promptly corrected. The trash can pizza was surprisingly delicious. The restaurant was empty, even though it was New Year's Eve. We used to frequent this place, but likely won't be returning. Perhaps it was just an off night."

"where do i even start in this dump that is so called a restaurant? first let’s start with the step below cafeteria food, the french toast is bland and dry, coffee tastes stale , and all of the sodas tasted flat. next the service was awful and the waitress practically THREW our plates on the table like they were basketballs or something. okay now let’s start with the part that made me want to leave this review, my card was put on the check and the waitress picked it up right away and had my card for about fifteen minutes. got the bill back and am about 99% sure that we were charged for things that we didn’t order. the bill came out to be way too much and i heard others complain about it as well. super sketchy and i am beyond disappointed with my experience!"

"We discovered exactly why George’s Gyros are so renowned! We devoured our gyro pita so quickly that I didn’t even have a chance to snap any photos, but it was packed with flavor and absolutely delightful. We couldn’t resist ordering the tots, which make for a fantastic appetizer or side to share. We also got their special hot dog for later, and it looks as incredible as everything else. A perfect 10/10 from us! Here’s what we ordered: Gyro (the one with peppers and jalapeños), a side of fries, steak pita, another side of fries, gyro tots, and a hot dog."

"I really want to share how challenging it has been for me, as a newcomer to the area, to find a breakfast spot in Lakewood that can cook eggs just right. Fortunately, I've discovered the perfect place! I visited on a recent Sunday morning and ordered my scrambled eggs well done. They were superb—no sogginess like I've experienced at other restaurants. I always say, "if they ain't wheezin', they ain't pleasin'." The drinks were also excellent, and the atmosphere was delightful. I'm glad I only live a few blocks away because I will definitely be returning! Dietary restrictions: The eggs were cooked perfectly."

"You get what you go for at Raceway. This is not a pretentious place. There are no airs about it. It is a divey type of bar and eatery to go to. And you will intermingle with the locals. It is clean, comfortable, and can handle a large party. Nice bar at the left and tables further to the right as you face the bar front. Some outside seating to utilize if i would ever cool down. Lots of memorabilia up on the walls and ceiling along with numerous license plates. Something to look at while drinking your beer or having some bourbon on the rocks. Good selection of bourbons too. The wait staff is friendly and competent. Some are young and appear to be learning the ropes which they will learn over time. In any case the service is good. We had no complaints about the staff. Burgers are good. Enough fries or onion rings with the meal. Appetizers are good tool. I like thin crust pizza and we have found it to done just right. If I was in NYC, I would expect the floppie wedge. When we lived in Chicago, it was the thin crust pizza cut into squares. So we found Raceways pizza to be good. After several visits I thought I should review Raceway, Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"I didn't plan on coming here first, but I'm so glad I did! I ordered the fish and chips, expecting the usual standard stuff with generic fries and lackluster fish. I couldn't have been more wrong! The portions of fish are huge, and they come with tartar sauce, balsamic reduction, and lemon slices. The batter is not the usual soggy mess you often find; instead, it's crispy, light, and full of flavor. The fries are seasoned so perfectly that they don't even need ketchup. This is exactly what my native New England palate craves. Go for the fish and chips—you won't be disappointed!"

"We visited this location on Saturday 1st of October before 1 p.m. It was not busy. We waited more than 7 minutes to be acknowledged and seated (nobody was in front of us, multiple waiting staff just passed by, there were people behind us too amazed what is happening). After being seated (dine-in section) during next 15 minutes+ our waiter never arrived to take our order/drinks (she did for a patrons who were seated after us). Since my partner was hungry she ended up going to the pizza by a slice and ordered there. 4 slices for $17! Waiter never showed up throughout our entire stay (we were still sitting at the dine-in section which requires waitstaff to properly sit us). We had to order (at the pizza by the slice stand) drink ourselves. I would have never stayed in this place after lack of even basic service if not for my partner being really hungry."

"We were looking for a local restaurant in the area that had a high number of reviews and a high average. A burger sounded good, so we thought why not! Order the cheese combo remover. It was delicious! Our server also shared the app for us on the invoice we have never seen. We were extremely happy with the app. Don't order Bergtau... It tastes deliciously watered. I had the king after trying the peanut sauce on the side. The sauce was a little spicy. When the burger tried, I couldn't see the sauce. Maybe it's gone. But the burger was still tasty. I choose to update my page on macaroni and cheese. I would rate the pasta at 4/5. I was happy. My friend had the Mac and cheeseburger with chips. He rated both as 5/5. He thought the burger could be improved by mixing onions into the meat. Service was great. The climate for 6 pm on Monday was calm and easy to go. The biggest diverters from a 5-star rating were the Bergtau and the Sauce on the Burger. My bill was $22.93 for half an appetizer, the #11 with updated Mac and cheese and a soft drink. We'll be back when we're in town."

"Aslan Brewery is one of my favorite places to eat in town. It has options for everyone if you have a group of mixed preferences. The Katsu tofu sandwich is a delicious and super crunchy vegetarian burger. Vegan options are the curry bowl with an option to add yams, chickpeas or tofu. There are also several appetizers and options to modify. The bowl was huge and very filling, I would definitely order again. The waitstaff is always down to earth and fabulous. They are also very knowledgeable if you have a specific allergy."

"This is our go-to neighborhood restaurant. Good food, good prices, nice and quiet ambience. A great selection of pizzas and pastas along with a few non-Italian dishes like fish and chips and chicken wings. A nice selection of beers on tap including Stella. The food tastes homemade and not like it came out of the Sysco freezer. They do a lot of takeout but I think that misses the point: beautiful Venetian-plaster walls, comfy seats, and great wait-staff."

"Terrific local joint for Wilmette, North Evanston, and environs. Small, cozy, but well thought out space with a full bar, flat screens there, and a nice dining room. Noisy, bright space lends itself to conversation and group fun with a few romantic tables for couples. Menu is quite nice with a California Midwest kind of fusion vibe. Basic bar food, great (Candlelite Chicago look it up) pizza, bowls, salads, wraps, and sandwiches are uniformly impressive. Nice patio seating in good weather, too. Will be a frequent stop for us and our pals. RECOMMENDED"

"Absolutely delicious meal. Appetizer was onion rings. Clearly hand dipped fresh, not frozen. One of us enjoyed the beef tips appetizer as a meal. It was plenty of food for him, and he expressed that a flavor was superb and cooked perfectly. Two of us enjoyed the flatbread. It was more pizza like than the traditional flatbread but plenty on ingredients and delicious. The chicken In mushroom sauce that our last guest was a big serving. He said the flavors and seasoning was perfect. The only thing we wished we knew was that there was a bluegrass music gathering in the bar area. We probably would have sat around the corner more so we could talk easier. Music was great, but we were there to celebrate with old friends. We weren’t told they were going to be there. I highly recommend going here for a meal anytime."

"Great place to come eat with friends or as a family! They have a good drink menu for those like me who don't like beer. The Krunch Tenders are amazing! I have loved them since college and the honey mustard sauce is so good! Kid-friendliness: They have highchairs and crayons and paper menus to color on for the kids. "As a meat lover, I truly enjoy a great steak and can definitely recognize when it's prepared well, just as this restaurant promises. They exceeded my expectations! The portions were massive, with a gigantic baked potato, a fresh salad, warm bread, and an ice-cold beer to top it off. They really got it right! The prices were also reasonable. "Fantastic pizza and calzones! Their boneless wings are out of this world. If you're a fan of Italian cuisine, this is the place for you. This was my second time getting takeout from Antonio's, and I decided to try the habanero wings this time. One thing I really appreciate about dining here is how clean the establishment is. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the bathroom is always spotless. No matter what you order, the food is consistently delicious.
