"we had dinner in downing street pour house on a Saturday night after a day in the legendary of golf tournament. it is a little tricky to find if you have not been there yet; but the hunt is worth it. it is located in a very nice small business area with many shops. it is opposite from a picturesque tour railway station (the children would enjoy). there was something confusion when we first arrived. we had kept thru opentable and waited at the front sitting. the waiting workers who are talking about the constant and there was a sign that pointed out. we saw a table with a reserved sign on it and wondered if it was for us; but we did not want to accept it. the place was busy (it is quite small and we could not get someone to stop so we could ask about our reservation (behaved that you said to sit down yourself). we finally talked to someone about the bar and explained the situation. he seemed very surprised and said that they were not aware that they were part of opentable and did not take any precautions. I suggested that they would like to review this because we did not only make a reservation that was the OpenTable system; but had received emails and text messages as the evening approached (and we received this email requesting a review. we told him we like to sit on the bar. he came back a short time later and said that he had a table (the one who had the reserved sign on it). we sat down to eat. after the first confusion everything was great. dylan, our server was very helpful and friendly. we ordered the pulp (which was huge and very good. large selection of beer on design. they are known for their burgers; so my wife had the mushroom burger and I had the black and bleu burger. both were very good and the pommes were also very good. we would recommend the downing street pour house for beautiful occasional dining experience. they only hope that they have worked out the OpenTable arrangement."

"Lobby was nice and check-in was easy. The location was good for what we were visiting town for as well. But we've got mostly complaints after that, which is why I'm writing a review (when I normally don't).Rooms are pretty outdated. There are hotel rooms elsewhere in Springfield for roughly the same price (2-star hotels, even) that are more up-to-date than here.Shower was not clean. We were put in a wheelchair-accessible room and the shower did not retain the water, so the water pooled onto the bathroom floor, which I'd consider hazardous. Speaking of the bathroom, we were only given a single bar of soap to share for showers and also for general hand-washing. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap because your room may be lacking. The room sorely lacks power outlets, and the ones we found may not be easy to reach. We did find a power strip behind the nightstand but it looks like it hadn't been touched in years. Covered in dirt.We were told the pool would have towels, but there were none. The front desk was nearby however, so that wasn't much of an inconvenience, but worth noting since most of our time at the hotel had been unpleasant. The indoor pool was freezing cold, and I generally don't mind a cool pool. It was unbearable for me, I couldn't get beyond waist deep for two minutes before I had to exit. We're also not sure if the water in that pool is treated, considering there was no smell or feel of chlorine in the water. The breakfast isn't free, which I was expecting anyway, but the price they'd expect you to pay for their breakfast was a bit high considering there are free breakfasts at other hotels I've stayed at that looked better. The cafe they have near the front desk had only one person working on a weekend morning, so we didn't bother until we didn't see a line. We bought an iced tea, and the associate gave us a plastic cup with ice water in it and placed a tea bag into it. That isn't tea, it's cold water with a tea bag floating in it.I know this hotel is generally on the cheaper end in the area so you should expect to get what you pay for, but there are others in the area that are better quality for the same price. Don't settle for here because it's the closest one to the MSU campus."
