"Went to spend an evening with family.Pros: Bowling was fun, we enjoyed being able to add profile pictures. The kids loved the gravity walk. It was a fun atmosphere.Cons: Several of the games weren't working but took credits, we got tired of going back to the counter to ask for credits. Half of the Lazer tag vests/guns didn't work (most of the scores on the screen were zeros and the game was FULL.For as expensive as the activities and game passes are, you expect them to work properly. I'd rather see out of order signs then feel like I got taken when the credits are removed from my card without game play."

"My friends and I left this Main Event feeling swindled out of over $150. I had tried to look for clear pricing online beforehand with no luck. So showing up, spending over $150 for three people to play 1 game of laser tag, 1 game of bowling, and broken arcade games was disappointing and frustrating. Our bowling lane kept malfunctioning by not releasing pins or knocking them down before we could play. Many of the arcade games we used credits for ended up not working so we lost those credits. We had reserved a time for the gravity ropes which we had to miss because our bowling lane was only made available at the same time. We asked about how to get a pool table and weren’t given an answer. We all chose the All Activities Package so we could play multiple rounds of laser tag and bowling, but only got to one of each because of long waits and lack of communication. As college kids, it was a significant amount of money for us to spend and lose."

"I took 6 kids there and had a great experience. However, their clock is faster than the standard time, I was charged normal fee instead of before noon price. My credit card recorded the charge was done at 11:57 am. The manager refused to refund the difference because I couldn't find my receipt, and stated that even if I disputed with CC, they have my signature.... thing is if they have my signature then they have a copy of the receipt and that would prove the charge is done before noon. When I first ask about charge to their employee, it seems they knew their clock is faster. Anyways, the place is great, employee there were friendly, but this experience with clock and refund left a bitter taste."

"We decided to give Main Event a try after several months of not visiting it. We found that roughly half of the arcade machines actually worth playing were broken. There were several machines that would do nothing even when we swiped our card. If the machines were working, they were missing balls (skeeball, basketball, beer pong) which made them unplayable. I usually don’t play claw machines, but even those ran short of anything worth an attempt. Once a hub for hours of entertainment, this place is clearly in need of some attention from management or higher ups. The machines used to check points and reload cards were finicky. Even the Dippin’ Dots machine by the front door was sold out (or not working)! If the issue is getting someone capable of working on the machines out to fix them, Main Event should at least place signs on the machines that are not functioning properly."

"Had a very frustrating experience here last night. There were multiple instances where games took our tokens from the game card but released no balls for us to be able to play the game. Spoke to the front desk was told it would be added back onto the card but it was actually never added back. We won multiple SpongeBob coin push machine cards but the cards got stuck in the bottom of the machine after they dropped, so we never got to cash them in. For the couple that we did receive, the machine in the goodies shop where you turn in cards in exchange for tickets, took one of our cards but did not load the tickets onto our card. We’ve been here multiple times are disappointed with how scammy this place was last night. It’s not cheap so getting scammed of the money we spent is extremely frustrating."
