"I worked here Literally for 4.47 hours as a Cook. That was all the amount of time I needed to see that the Owner and So Called Chef is an absolute Baffoon. I was asked to man the Market Station, ok cool salads not a thing, FauChef Keith Weber my boss tells me hey Garry the salads need more ingredients and volume of green. Ok Cool FauChef, I make a Harvest Salad, Harvest Salad here FauChef, i get the nod of approval...cool .... I make a Caesar Salad He over sees the addition of dressing, 1.5 oz scoop...ok cool FauChef...i toss mix garnish .... Cesar here FauChef.....Get the Nod of Approval...... Someone points out Harvest to Go....Expidit Puts The Exact Salad Approved in Box... Here comes FauChef.... G Thats Not Enough....You just made one i know you know HOW.....ok cool....that is that salad bro.... Damn i cant work for a Dip Stick Like That.... I knocked a bottle of dressing behind my station When it was slow i pulled my station out and Holy Crap The Disgusting Filth made me wanna puke... I've seen trashed kitchens and this was right there with the worst... Jake the line cook said they had jtst been inspected No idea the score? The cook there are good and care about food Being sent out right. Way Way Over Priced for Sysco and Ben E Keith Most of you food comes from a microwave to a convection oven to you. Salad Dressing are decent.... The elk burger the prep cook made me was alright ... If Your Rich and Money is No Object You could Afford to Eat and Drink Here But You Wouldnt and Nor Would I. I work because i want to not because i have to."

"We didn't know about Double D's until we saw an article in Florida today, so we thought we would try. My wife loves tri tip and there are not many BBQ joints that offer it. Turns out Double D's offers it!! We started with two appetizers hush puppies and roasted cheese curds. Hush puppies were perfect. Very sharp outside soft inside. Cheese curds were also simply killers! Besides the Trispitze, she had the Mac cheese and a salad. I had a combination of cut pork, St. Louis ribs and Brisket, plus frits baked beans. I begin to say that if you let this place starve, it is your own fault!! Not only the food is excellent, there is a lot of it. Much more goes into good BBQ next to smoking the quality of meat, spices, etc. play a great role in the end product. Double D does everything, and then some. What I noticed above all was that the taste of the meat was simply excellent. The smoke added without overwhelming it. You also have a wide selection of sauces on the table, but also have a sriracha hot sauce when you ask. I tried, it was just killer big heat and taste. As far as the service goes, it was also excellent. Our server that is randomly one of the owners took the time to chat in addition to stellar service. You really do things right at Double D's. Eat that exceeds a very fair price, plus enough to make a second meal! We told them we were back like the terminator! If you like big BBQ, do yourself a huge favor and stop by. Ask Grace that she treats you like family!"

"Hoo boy. I was super excited to try this place out while spending the night in Decatur. My girlfriend had been raving about a different local eatery but after some research, we decided on this. First off, it's a cool place that's somewhat underground. That said, there's a really funky smell in the place. If you park on the main street, you'll be entering from the rear and have to walk the length of the restaurant to meet the greeter. The positives; our server was very personable and friendly. The beer selection and bar are both solid. Our appetizer, chickarones, were fantastic. The negatives; it smells pretty bad in there. All of the food we had aside of the chickarones were beyond bland an not seasoned. My girlfriend had the glazed roasted salmon with cheese grits and roasted brussels. Literally all of them were not seasoned. Zero salt. Zero pepper. The cheese grits were an abomination of southern cuisine. Had their not been glaze on the salmon, it would've had little flavor. Instead, the glaze gave you a glimpse of flavor ala La Croix water. I opted for a chicken caprese type sandwich. The only flavor on the sandwich was the balsamic glaze and it was in every 3-4 bites. The bread it was on was advertised as sourdough, if not mistaken and it was like the wonderbread of sourdough. The fried okra that I had as my side tasted old and stale. I really dislike leaving negative reviews but this was just absolutely mediocre. I should've taken the empty dining room as a warning but here we are."
