"We were very excited to try out Barrio as we had heard so much about it! I made sure to book a reservation as it can be a very busy place. Unfortunately we will not be going back as it was very disappointing. I will sum up the issues below: We went for the frozen/soft serve margaritas and were told they were out, and changing over the sorbet so we would need to order something else. We expressed our interest to still have one when the became available but they were never delivered. Multiple other tables received them. We ordered chips and queso and were brought chips and salsa. Explaining the mixup to the waiter was not received well, and we waited another 15 minutes for luke warm queso with no apology. This was the beginning of many service issues during our time there. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. Our waters were not refilled for the entirety of the stay. When the food came out I had to go to the bar to get napkins and utensils. This action was not received well by the bartender, but we had already been waiting for 5 minutes after the food had been delivered. We waited 15 minutes to get an extra order of sour cream. After getting the basics needed to eat our meal, but still having no water or drink or being checked up on, we had some mediocre tacos and sides. The highlight was Mexican street corn. Finally, to top things off when the check came we were charged for the frozen/soft serve margarita that never came and salsa we never ordered. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to come pickup the check I walked up to the bar and got the issue resolved. We felt sorry for the server/bartender that was seemingly having to wait on the entire back half of the restaurant/patio but if Barrio cannot handle the reservations, they should not allow them. Not getting utensils, water, drinks, condiments, or orders right is not how you to encourage repeat business."

"Yesterday, I attempted to place an online order, but my card kept getting declined. I was pretty sure my bank account could handle $40, so I checked my bank and saw no fraud alerts. I figured there must have been something wrong with their online ordering system. No worries, though—my wife really likes this place. I went to the ATM and withdrew some cash using the same card that was declined online. When I arrived at the store to pay in cash, a young lady asked if I needed help. I tried to explain that there might be an issue with the online ordering system because my card was declined when it shouldn’t have been. I guess I wasn’t speaking loudly enough because she told me to SPEAK UP like I’m in the military. So, like a good soldier, I raised my voice and explained the situation again. She barely listened, rolled her eyes, and basically said, Yeah, okay. WHAT DO YOU WANT? At that moment, I decided I didn’t want anything and took my business elsewhere. I’m not rich, but I am a business owner, and I just wanted to let them know about the issue so they wouldn’t lose money. Maybe because I was in street clothes and not a suit, I didn’t look like a business owner—but that’s not for anyone to judge. I’ve eaten at this place before, and the food was good, but I won’t be going back to a place where I feel unwelcome. It’s pretty sad since I literally live two blocks from the restaurant. Oh well..."
